If you're ultra poor ultra lazy just plain spaghetti and red sauce is fine too. Get your protein from bulk whey and milk. Use spaghetti for calorie filler.

On a bulk I find it so hard to eat enough that I actually buy weight gain protein powder.

Personally the appeal of "clean" foods is mostly a lot of mass/calorie meaning i won't be so hungry on my cut. It's easier on the willpower.

There's the obvious health benefits as well, but I'm curious if my gains and bf% are really different for someone who gets identical macros at Burger King and supplements his micros properly

First off, fast food is full of transfats and has an INSANELY large amount of sodium in it. The carb to protein ration is also fucked, not to mention the way they're prepared basically makes sure any and all nutrients you could get from your food is gone.

Now is your question - am I going to gain the same amount of muscle and lose the same amount of calories/fat etc if I eat a surplus or deficit? Yes. But the sodium will make it harder and the amount of addatives in fast food will spike your insulin, making it harder to lose fat and bodyweight in general. But overall, yes, you will still have similar results.

But on the "health" side of things, what your doing is completely horrible for your body and you might as well just stop lifting and working out, you're fucking your health beyond belief. You will look HORRIBLE in your late 20's, early 30s.

I don't get it. Maybe it's something in the culture but after I passed the age of 12 I stopped caring for McDonalds. I love a good burger but I see zero reason to buy McDonalds when I can just hit up a burger joint and have some real meat.

What's so bad about fast food? I've seen reports that say fast food is much more accurate than casual dining restaurants in the nutrition values they report. As opposed to many restaurant dishes having 20% more calories than they report because a lack of uniformity to ingredients. If anything the bulk standard of portion sizes at fast food makes better sense as long as you eat smart.
