Since Bodorio is around, how much have you been training for? Found your Youtube channel, gotta admit I'm mirin.

Triceps is always important for benching, as it's the only muscle that handle elbow extension.

However, as the long head of the triceps crosses two joints, they also work as a "passive tendon".
Their attachment that crosses the shoulder joint is lengthened during shoulder flexion and transverse flexion.
This means the triceps is able to transfer force generated at the shoulder joint to help with extension of the elbow joint.

Which literally means your chest also causes with elbow extension, further reinforcing its role as the most important muscle in the bench press.

Pic related explains how this "passive tendon action" works. In the case of the triceps, it's the third example in the picture, as besides transfering force, it also generates force of its own by contracting and shortening its length.
(The triceps is able to shorten its total length even when getting stretched at the shoulder attachment, because its moment arm at the elbow is much larger than at the shoulder).

I try to keep them tight by my sides regardless of high/low, but I wouldn't say I try to push them anywhere, sounds like a recipe for elbow pain to me.

I keep my elbows up and my hands on top of the bar, instead of behind the bar, and I think about bending the bar down across my back.

Well I have a huge problem with them coming up while squatting (it isn't as bad low bar as it is high bar though.)

Well the thing about training is you can't just train 5+ hours a day and get better results (I definitely would if you could). It takes time and lots of recovery, so there's plenty of time to be training hard and still shit post.

Usually with sleep paralysis, if they hallucinate, people see a woman or some sort of creature sit on their chest and make it hard to breath. It's not unique to one culture either, happens to anyone in the world.

I kept my eyes intensely closed because I was afraid of hallucinations. I was actually able to move my right arm a bit and I was able to flex my torso but that was literally it for about 3 minutes until I was able to actually get up.

I've had sleep paralysis a couple of times, and every time is absolutely horrifying. It's not the paralysis, per say, it's the paranoia and the hallucinations that make it just the worst.

If I remember correctly, you're supposed to get sleep paralysis when actually sleeping so you don't flail around like a retard mid-dream. Sometimes the brain fucks up and you continue paralysis after waking up. I don't think we know -why- this happens.
Also, I got a bit of somnambulism and never had sleep paralysis. Maybe having one "protects" you from the other?

When I do low-bar, I don't get any bounce out of the bottom while I pause, but when I do high bar, even when paused, I can bounce down and up a little bit to get the rep up.

It seems to me that doing a pause squat this way would be counterproductive?
