Why would it be a joke? If you want an intense workout, do a seated row.

If you want to be a faggot then do whatever meme lifts you usually do, but you asked for 'a really intense workout'. That's the seated row. You're doing cardio while working shoulders, spine, arm, abs and legs. I can burn 100 calories a minute doing a seated.

I can attest. My upper body day has seated rows: I warm up from 85lbs, 100lbs, 120, 140, all 12 reps each and then go 160x10, 180x8, and then top off with 200lbs 5x5. Shit fucks me up so good brehs. I absolutly love it

I doubt the 100 calorie / minute number, that's the equivalent of running a mile.

Though if you're talking about a rowing machine as opposed to a seated row, then yeah, insane cardio. It's great, though most people have shit technique with it.
