Finally deadlift the bar

>TFW can't even deadlift the bar

>start cut

>tfw i can finally participate in these discussions seeing as i have finally benched lmao2pl8

>tfw 2.5kg from 1pl8 OHP

Can't wait to escape the sub plate hell on my last major lift.

>tfw the steroids kick in yo

>Being helped as a total noob
>Giving back by helping and giving basic advice or a spot to those who are more dyel than me
>My pt points at me to inspire other dyels

9kg / 20lbs off 3Pl8 deadlift.

Just need to work on OHP. Currently at 38.5kg / 85 lbs

I fucking love ohp, it's just so aesthetic, easy mires and it feels good bringing that weight above you.

Great now check your form.

I've seen that thing in person
It killed it's creator
It's metal as fuck

I KNOW DAT FEEL BRUH. 10/10 WOULD BANG AGAIN

just had my first real lifting session last week, been doing it every other day since

>come in from work, feeling like shit from sitting at a desk all day
>move the furniture in the living room
>headphones in, new playlist i've been putting together
>music with thumping tribal-style beats and shouty lyrics
>grab the weights and go for it
>feel weak, feel burning
>feel sick, feel more burning
>get sweaty, get angry
>lifting in time to the beat
>baring teeth as I work, grunting like an autist
>sweaty hair everywhere, tie it back halfway through
>finally finish up, shaking
>neck two pints of water
>step out into the yard for a smoke (baby steps)
>catch sight of self in the window
>pumped, sweaty, cig in mouth
>feel incredible, full of testosterone and energy
>go cook myself some salmon, eggs and spinach
>eat whilst watching anime

I can't believe I missed out on this feel for so long.

Did you neglect OHP? I can only deadlift 2plate, and my OHP is 57.5kg.

>>move the furniture in the living room

You lift in your living room?

>tfw your gym nemesis fails a set

I have my own house, just me living there. Not enough room in either of the bedrooms really. And it's a good way of making myself lift - I have to finish lifting before I can move the couch back and watch tv

Not the other guy

That's a nice OHP, what's your other stats?

I'm at (x5)

55kg OHP
75kg Bench
112.5kg Squat
122kg DL

>tfw lifting for 9 months
>tfw still barely able to bench 1plate

Finally did a muscle up, feels good to be on the other side of the bar

>3.5

oh god, that's so embarrassing.

>go to gym
>gym is empty and cool
>best feeling ever

The movie isn't even released yet... give it some time, it'll get below 3 for sure.

pls help. stats are:
66kg OHP
102kg squat
102kg BP
130kg DL

HNNNNG

>cutting for what seems like forever

>lower abs finally starting to show up

you cant spot reduce which sucks, but im glad it's finally going away

>Using headphones in an empty house you can blast music in
>Not quitting smoking before you even think about starting to lift

>tfw trying to progress on OHP in 10kg increments because no microplates
kill me

102.5kg DL (2 reps)
82.5kg bench (3 reps)
70kg squat (5 reps)

Been doing 5/3/1 since january, I did calisthenics before that.

My shoulders have always been a weak point, but I've been keeping track of my progress since I started 3 months ago and I've only added 11.3 kg / 35 lbs to my lift since then.

I get plenty of rest and keep track of what I'm eating, but at this point I'm concluding my routine is complete garbage and that I'm clearly not stimulating my shoulders enough.

That does sound weird. I thought my shoulders were complete shit as well, but my OHP has been progressing nonstop since I started 5/3/1 at the beginning of this year.

What do you do for shoulders?

I get home from work at nine, so blasting the music doesn't make the neighbours happy. I like to keep them sweet as they keep an eye on things for me when I go away.

I've cut my smoking down substantially, but between quitting junk food and soda, as well as starting to cook properly, i find i value my smokes much more.

This is from today. I time myself for rest and usually wait around a 1:00 - 1:30 min

OHP: 38.5 kg / 85 lb x 5
DB shoulder press: 15.9 kg / 35 lb x 6
Standing DB high pull: 15.9 kg / 35 lb x 6
Front Raise with a slow slow negative: 6.8kg / 15lb x 8
Lat Raise: 6.8kg / 15lb x 8

Finally 1/2/3/4

Next goal 2/3/4/5

Good job man!

Strange, that's a lot more volume than I do.

Are you eating the pokemon you catch?

Yeah, I dunno man. My legs, chest, and back respond so well to everything, but these dang shoulders and arms don't lmao.

I'm going to test working out 5 times a week instead of my usual 4 and mess around with rep ranges and sets. Hopefully my arms and shoulders will respond better to being hit every 5 days.

I'd eat that shit like an Arbys cheddar melt.

I actually ordered some industrial sized washers to use as fractional plate. Altogether they weigh 2.5 lbs, so I'm able to go up that much on OHP, Bench, and Barbell Row

What about your chest day? Don't any of your exercises from that also work your shoulders?

>over 2 months of bulk left
>already stronger than I was at the start of my cut

It's nice having nothing to do all summer except lift.

>tfw finally benching 1pl8
Progress, I guess?
