Eh maybe not longevity but my grandfather is 75 and lifts (not heavy like he used to of course) and he is fit as fuck where as most other 75 year olds I see have numerous health problems and are starting to get frail.

The point of my little story being that his quality of life is much better as a result of resistance training.

This. My dad has prettu heavy labour all his life and he has a lot more energy, stamina, and strenght than the average 60-year old. My mom is the same, actually.
