What do you think about this 3 foods only diet? You're getting most important nutrients from the peanutbutter and the bananas and b12 from the chicken.
This diet would only run you around 12 bucks a day where I live (central europe) and it's easy as shit to follow. Just prepare the chicken and keep it in some kind of tupperware for the rest make sure, that you always buy a fresh supply of banans every day or every other day if you keep them in the fridge and just stock up on peanutbutter and always have a sealed cup ready before finishing the one you're on.

Sugar from fruits like bananas won't do you any harm. Ask any doctor. A normal person can eat 6 bananas a day without ever fearing to become diabetic or some shit. Just eat one every 2 or so hours to make sure you always have a stable blood sugar level, energy levels and insulin release. With this diet you're getting around 100g of protein a day, that's enough for most adult males to maintain their muscle, even on a cut. If you're hurr big stron man, feel free to add one or half a chicken breast. And you're getting around 25g of fibre a day, and that's more than most people get. 14g per 1000kcal of food is recommended so for 1600 calories that would be around 23g of fibre, so you're getting enough of that too.

A reasonable conclusion is that a person who eats lots of fruits also has a well balanced diet and exercises frequently. That doesn't mean that having fruits be your only source of carbs is healthy. Also, that's not nearly enough protein. 100 g is not enough. Especially considering 1600 calories is a 1000 calorie deficit for me.

What's funny is that if you picked these 3 ingredients to be chicken, brown rice and broccoli, the responses would be very different.
Both diets would work if you could stick to it. There are many people who've lost significant weight on fast food only diets and people who've only drank soylent (where you do get all your micronutrients, too) All about dat CICO, and what's manageable and sustainable as a diet.
That was basically my idea behind it. I used to do chicken, rice and broccoli for some time and I hated it. Switched to IIFYM for my bulk and basically ate everything I wanted while looking at my macros and total calories and I plan on switching to this diet once I start cutting again.

To be fair, it's the most expensive country in europe when it comes to living costs but Chicken is hella expensive anyways since we've got no gmo pumped meat here. Banans and peanut butter are also somewhat more expensive. I guess it'd be cheaper if you got your peanuts raw and just stuff them in a food processor.
But even so, that's adding that up to 360 bucks a month, that's just around 6% of my monthly paycheck. I usually spend more than double that on food, especially when I eat out a lot.

tbqh, it's really just an easy to follow thing for people who are too retarded to keep track of macros, fiber or micros or anything like that. Of course you can switch it up, but you can't guarantee the same price or same macros with that, which is why I didn't write any of that. It's basically better than 90% of western diets without being expensive and I personally enjoy all of those foods very much so I thought it was a good idea to include those. You don't need any measuring tools except for a spoon, which makes it very easy to follow if you're travelling or don't have any of that available. The only things you need are a store to buy that stuff, which is basically everywhere and something to heat the chicken. Or buy precooked and eat it like that, idc.
