Health advice?

hey Veeky Forums

I started lifting not to long ago and I've been making some nice progress.
Recently I helped somebody move furniture to a new apartment with no elevator.
Long story short, other person let go / or his fingers slipped and I had to stop the thing from falling.
Now my right bicep ( left too but not as bad ) seems torn, image related - me.
I'm not sure if its torn or not but then again I don't know shit about it.
How long should I wait before including biceps in my routine again?
I've only trained legs since this happened. I'm afraid training something else like shoulders might make it worse.
Is this something I should see a doctor about or will it heal as is?

TL:DR - Think I tore my bicep, what can I do about? How long do I wait?

its a bruise mate, if you tore it you would drop down in agony, screaming your lungs out, so you would know.

If your biceps is working but is slightly sore when you move or touch, its a bruise.

medical advice would be monitor it for several days- if it gets worse or you get anxious in 5-6 days then go see a doctor

Tbh it doesn't look torn. If it were torn, the bruising would be purple and there would be blood pooling under the skin across your whole bicep. Just looks like a bruise to me. Give it a week and see what's up.

Yeah, you wouldn't have been able to flex to take this photo if it were torn. It seriously would have been the worst pain you've ever felt in your life.

What bicep?

Also if you don't live in a third world country you should get it checked out. Doc's gonna know the right treatment so you won't sustain permanent damage aka blahatastic bis

Looks like cancer. I'm a doctor. Take a knife and cut off the dead skin, OP.

Ice ice ice. It's vital and nobody reminds you. So I am. Ice it man.

You didn't tear your bicep

This is a bicep tear

Thanks Veeky Forums

I guess I just got anxious when such a large purple mark suddenly appeared on my arm.

But its safe to keep training while I keep an eye on it right?

>What bicep?
Have to start somewhere and in some cases that's from nothing. :(

Not Op but I recognize that link

Not gonna click that shit

Real doctor here, can confirm. However burning it would be a much more effective method of removing the cancerous cells.

Actual real doctor here. That type of cancer needs to be bitten out by an adult canis lupus or it'll just come back. And don't skimp on the albino blood afterwards.

Holy shit. You can see the muscle jolt against the skin.
Now I feel like a giant pussy for even considering that it might be a torn muscle.

Actual for real genuine doctor here. It's not cancer, just aids

There's different categories of torn muscles user.
Get an ultrasound if it's painful. Sometimes things get worse if you leave them.

Does it hurt?

I wouldn't train too intensely. You don't know the amount of strain that caused the bruise and going intense would probably be detrimental to the healing.

This. There are different types of tearing a muslce, you don't always tear it right throught, sometimes only certain fibres give out and it can still be painful and dangerous. If you would tear it in half, especially biceps, you would know becuase it would look deformed as fuck, I've seen it. It looks like a bruise from the picture, but there might be as well a blood leak.

I would get it checked, that's all, don't do biceps excercise in the meantime since if it actually is a slight tear, you might fuck it up worse.

If you live in America and that check will cost you thousands of dollars, you might as well wait a week or two, if it's a bruise it will get more yellow after a time, if that's a slight tear it should recover by itself.

>this is what normies believe about their healthcare system

this is the same thing poor people with nothing else to do, happen to do at the emergency room.

>emergency room
That's the point, they flood the er because they couldn't get treatment before shit went worse

You don't go to emergency just to ask what to do with a sore elbow, you go there because the undiagnosed fracture inflamed the ligaments and tendons around it. 5 minutes at a specialists could prevent this given you can afford it

Hoping it goes away by itself isn't a good approach to anything

GO. TO. A. DOCTOR.

ffs, that DOES look like a torn bicep. How do you not know your body well enough that you don't know when to get help? Have fun continually losing strength by not seeing professional help.

>asking for medical advice on Veeky Forums
>might aswell kys

I wrecked my motorcycle and had a tricep end up looking like that. I could barely move my arm because the pain was so sharp. It took 2 months before I could lift again.

That's a bruise.

If it was torn there would be a MUCH larger bruise like stain on your arm.

Plus you wouldn't even be able to move your arm like your picture.
