Also it IS weight in kg. Take your lean mass in kg and multiply it by 1.5 to get the amount of protein you need in grams.

There's several different formulas, (1 gram per lb of lean mass, 0.8 grams per pound of bodyweight, the thing you just said, etc.) but they all give fairly close to the same answer.

Americans do grams per pound because we weigh ourselves in pounds, but our food labels are in grams. Fuck you, we're America, we do what we want.
