Say I'm buying used Veeky Forums gear for a home gym, what should I get?

here's what I already have:
2 - 25 Lb Dumbbells
2 - 30 Lb Dumbbells
2 - 50 Lb Dumbbells
4 - 25 Lb Plates
2 - 45 Lb Plates

I know that I have enough plates and dumbbells for now, I was considering picking up an olympic bar then building a bench.

Also general home gym thread I guess

lol

I built a pullup bar but it's bolted into a beam in my garage ceiling and I don't know how well it would fare if I was putting more strain on it.

>math isn't my strong suit

I have enough for the time being at least user, when I'm stronger I'll buy more plates but it's enough for now.

"Why weren't you born lifting 6 pl8 on everything?!"

Fuck is wrong with you? Everyone starts somewhere

Thanks user, I live far out in the country so it's a pain to drive an hour to the nearest good gym every time I want to go.

Fucking idiots its not that itnisnt enough weight, ita that you cant do sensible incrementa with only those platea. Dont be a retard and listen to this:

>buying individual dumbbells
>not buying adjustable dumbbell bars to add weight to just like a barbell

I didn't buy them user, they were made by my grandpa for my dad and he gave them to me

>>not buying adjustable dumbbell bars to add weight to just like a barbell
>add weight to just like a barbell
>to just like a barbell
What?

Those plates aren't enough because you won't be able to jump from a weigh to another one which is withing you progression. Dumbass.

Okay user, I'll look for some smaller plates

Get adjustable dumbbell handles, not fixed ones. More space efficient, and cheaper.

Yeah, I meant something like this:

Someone recommend me a "i just started exercising and doing SS" starter pack.

Dont want to go to public gym because they're all fucking far and full of crossfit people.

Budget is uhhh... $1k? Room is 8'x24'.

>being poor
>spending more time in between sets to adjust weight
>not being master race with a dumbbell for each weight and a nice rack to hold them
>the city of you

How high do these go up. The ones I've seen used only go up to 40 or so.

They are the same diameter of an olympic barbell, so you could fit all of the olympic plates there for proper progression. You could even put some 45s there, but its a little bit stupid. I think you can put at least 6 10s on each side so 120lbs plus the weight of the dumbbell, per dumbbell.
