Robinhood is a commission free stock trading app on iOS/Android

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on the cash and securities in Robinhood accounts, much like a bank collects interest on cash deposits and by collecting fees from robinhood gold.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

>KTOS has done nothing but make me money
>even /pol/'s OSI tip has made me more money than Veeky Forums's memestocks

KTWO might have an early bounce after losing 18% yesterday, something to keep an eye on.

GE is sitting at 2yr lows with many analysts and investors showing uncertainty about the direction the company's new management is taking it.

Watch MTW, if it falls back to ~$8 it'll be a great buy.

HAIR and OPTN might be alright, I don't really like the sound of the others.

Finally broke even with F, I might stick around til it hits $13 and collect some sweet sweet dividends.

AMD? Buy in now or wait for dip to sub 13 before earnings?

AAOI

>$80 stock on sale for 60
>constant green, even lawsuit only put a dent in it
>optic tech

>involved in fiber internet

How is this not a fantastic deal?

>CERU

I know that fell but you got to know when to fold em' user

I got took my profits and got out today. When the ship stops on that it's going to hit the ground bigly.

I can't wait to buy in when it crashes. Hoping for sub $10.

BAC+B really has some ball crushing swings. One minute I'll be up $10, five minutes later I'll be down $150

It takes a while to react to changes in BAC too.

Right? What caused it to drop to 7 cents last year?

Know your price and stick to it, its going to be a beast come the weekend

As a completely new trader, I have no idea where to start.

Ubisoft up 1.5% today, continuing its rocket at all time high

BAC dropped $2 around the same time. The more BAC gets away from $30, the harder B falls

I'm hoping to get at least $1.50. Earnings should be good this Friday with all the big money buying up BAC the past two weeks. (((they))) know

KALV
Bought it at open now it's literally doubled

Fucking lovely to see with everything I have on ATVI, once that fucker comes flying down its going to mean huge a rebound push for competitor stocks

buy low sell high

>think it's a low
>it's actually going lower
>think it's a high
>it's actually going higher

Just put an order in for 400 MBI at $7.60, tired of waiting for it to dip below $7.50.

DRYS is always a good beginner stock. I can say it's probably nearing an ATL right now without me even having to check where it's at.

Git gud faggot

Ubisoft announced today they're buying 4million of their own stock to block a Vivendi take over. If Vivendi plays ball it will continue to escalate if you have to balls to ride that bull

Altaba (AABA) might be worth looking at as a earnings play. They're a holding company that owns 15% of Alibaba and leeches off their success. They should have decent earnings with all the gains BABA got over the past two months. They also rise whenever BABA rise.

Earnings are next Tuesday 10/17

I had something bad happen a this week, i had been watching the ROKA stock because I play soraka in league of legends and now its trippled before i jumped on it, was at 80cents

Never buy above 13.5.
14 to 15 is a high sell and 13.5 is a sell. If you had the choice buy below 13.

>i had been watching the ROKA stock because I play soraka in league of legends

>give advice
>the advice doesn't actually work

>KTWO bouncing

mmm, that's what I like to see

I might jump on ANY it just tanked 25 cents down to 2.75 what do ya'll think?

Just hang around here and r/Robinhood

Eventually you just learn and get a hang of things

Sounds autistic but it worked for me

Well I got tired of not being able to trade on uncleared funds so I've decided to upgrade to a margin account, anything I should know about trading on margins before I get too deep into it?

If you want specific advice put everything you own into ATVI and wait for the impending moon

Don't lose RB's money or they'll fuck your credit score with a giant dick and no lube.

The market has an ebb and flow. Like a rhythm through the day. To begin, learn to not freak out over that.

Don't lose the money.

Well I'm on E*Trade but I'm assuming the same goes for any margin account. I don't really want to trade above my account value, I just want to be able to trade on uncleared funds. I should be pretty safe just doing that, right?

You should just kill yourself

idk about that ranger danger

Robinhood allows you to use uncleared funds without having margin

That guy was retarded and went all in on a biotech

You'll be fine don't worry, once you're not dropping money you could never pay off on penny stocks Margin trading is something you should always make the most of

I mean, I can buy stocks on uncleared funds with etrade but you get fucked if you sell a stock you bought with uncleared funds before the funds clear. With a margin account you don't have to worry about that.

DRYS should be a staple in your portfolio.

Speaking of Robinhood. What ever happened to the sequel of that RobinHood that Russel Crow was in? That really dumb one where hollywood takes a good story and adds degeneracy and bastardizes it? Kinda wanted to see where they were gong with it.

Fuck off reddit

What is it about DRYS that makes it good. I'm looking at a year-long chart and they dropped heavily in February it looks like.

If you day trade, KALV looks ready for big bounce.

zoom out further to see the true value of this amazing company

It's a great buying opportunity because of it's price; it's heavily oversold and the only direction to go soon is up.

i just bought 10k Russel Crowe

Any thoughts on google and amazon as earnings plays? They're expensive as fuck dure but I feel like you can get a lot more gains with them versus something like AMD. Like $50-100 a share versus 1 or 2

AMZN only did bad last quarter because of the whole foods buyout and Google because of the EU fines.

dont buy it.

autistic trolls try to get new people to buy it for some reason.

it never goes up, anybody that says buy DRYS just ignore, they're trolls and they don't understand how the market works.

you're an idiot.

You're better off putting that thousand dollars into a dividend stock imo. Just buy a shitload of etfs, CMCT, and MSFT/WFC when they inevitably drop back down.

Drys is a meme here. It's the DGB of /rgt/

Way over bought by boomers who don't understand tech. I have big trust in Amazon continuing to stomp but I wouldn't buy them unless there's a major dip

Google is dirt, I wouldn't touch them for my life

Just wait for it to go back up to a billion a share and you'll be rich.

ARGS is looking good lads.

no you

stop trying to get money flowing into the pockets of the insiders of DRYS. You want money flowing into companies that you are in that are going to have growth.

DRYS share structures is toxic as fuck not to mention their convertable debt that has been destroying stock price since its fluke run to $100 you know.. the one like 5 reverse splits ago.

Why you want to try and give your money to DRYS insiders is beyond me, there are a bunch of other stocks that you can pump to newfags that you AND the newfag can make money, pumping DRYS is obvious you are a troll, its old news kiddo, the market is passing you up.

Nah I'm more of a swing trader than a buy and hold guy. 20%+ a month no brakes

Nothing wrong with dividends/ETFs though. I'm planning to get into those once I build up my capital to a decent level

I see, fair enough. Even still, I don't think google is a good buy for the money. Instead of buying 1 share of goog, I'd buy a bunch of shares of something else that total up to the same amount.

The hell is ARGS doing?

winning

FUCK

You sound like like the typical poorfag on here; You also don't have a clue about the shipping sector.

DRYS is up almost 50% this month. What calls have you made?

kys

Somethings I learned
>spread out your investments
>do your own research
>fuck Greece
>Sometimes a dumb risk pays off, sometimes
>don't hold bags
>pay attention to failures, your own and others

Most important thing to remember is that we are all going to make

This. I'm not throwing any money at the share diluting, shareholder value destroying waste that is DRYS

Lots of high volume buy orders on ARGS, looks like it's going higher.

george economou literally stole like 90% of investor's money a month ago with ORIG

fuck outta here. All the greek shipping companies are scamming fucks. The only reason drys has gains is because they pump it to lure unsuspecting investors in

Why is it that I'm only good at making money when I'm in a deficit? I can make my money back and break even no problem, but whenever I try to actually make money, I end up down. I can't figure out what I'm doing differently in these situations.

>For the first time in almost two decades, Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) no longer holds the crown for being the largest U.S. bank based on deposits.
>With deposits up 7.9% over the past year to $1.31T, JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) is now #1.
>Bank of America, of course, has been rapidly trimming branches over the past few years (JPMorgan is cutting as well, but at a slower pace). It's also been slower than peers in raising deposit rates amid the Fed's rate hike cycle.

What does this mean for BAC+B for Friday?

I leave for a year and a half and now this board gets flooded with shitcoiners again. Wtf happened?

I know ALOT about the shipping sector.

Thats why i know to stay away from DRYS.

A few years ago shipping companies overloaded their books with ships, they then had way to big of supply of ships which caused the rate for ships to go down due to the huge supply BDI sunk due to a surplus of available ships.

Banks stopped loaning money to shippers because of the ugly situation they got themselfs into with the global shipping market.

Since they can't get money from banks for new ships that are depreciating they need to get money from other sources.. bring in the toxic financers. The way alot of shippers get their money is buy screwing over common shareholders to fund their asset purchases, thats why most shippers go through reverse splits because they only way they can get a good amount of money is through toxic financing because banks aren't dealing with them DRYS is the worst along with TOPS sure they may have pop here and there but its best to swing a uptrend then to try and catch a small spike made by a short squeeze.

NMM is a much better position to sleep well at night and get gains, made over $5,000 trading in and out of it. it doesn't dilute like the rest of the shippers and they've done ALOT more than DRYS to restructure their balance sheet and no major debt due till 2021

NMM is a much better buy

now kys

What have you been doing?

>told myself that I'd throw a bunch of cash at HMNY once these two sales settle
>which is tomorrow
It's too late for me, isn't it?

Just focused on uni and graduating with a big ass credit load per semester. Regret it now but I'm glad I'm done

>What does this mean for BAC+B for Friday?
pic related

jk just relax and dont sweat random articles.

Glad I cut my losses with SHOP at 98, tanking today and still not done

MNKD keeps going up

SHOP is going to be tainted for a long time.

I also cut my losses last week I got in at 107 and got out at 103. I would've been fucked if I was a pussy and bag held

MFW i was shilling this down below $2 but didn't hold onto position long enough

been in and out of it 6 times and it keeps going wtf

The funny thing about Shopify is that it's actually a really good product in a growing field despite its stock tanking

I'm not worried. I'm playing with found money. I'm just trying to understand it.

Guess I'm back to bagholding.

confirmed retard. Go back to /pol/ and don't forget your tinfoil hat. If you refuse this advice, can you at least start using a trip so I can block your dumb ass?

I don't disagree, but they have PR issues right now and are over valued imo. I bought them the last time they dipped below 90 and sold at 100, but I don't think I'll try that this time.

Rumor on the street is that Niantic is going to go public next year.

Big AR company, most famously know for Pokemon Go. They practically print money.
