There are people on Veeky Forums right know who can't OHP 1 plate

>tfw lifting for 1 year

>never did OHP, decide to try it

>manage to do 1 plate easily at 169 lbs

i could do this before i started lifing
lifting is a carrot on a stick
there's always someone who can lift more
if your goal is always to outlift others, you'll never make it

I'm doing stronglifts aushwitz mode, OHP right now is 50lbs, miles away from plates

obvious bait but still:
1 pl8 OHP isn't that hard when you've lifted for 1 year. I lift for 3 months and OHP 0.75 pl8.. getting there i guess

I pressed 1pl8 5x5 for the first time today. feelsgoodmang

How much is 1 pl8?

60kg

1 plate of 20 kg each side + 20 kg of bar

this so much
can't believe people think OHP is a remotely hard lift to progress on or do

all you gotta do is bounce with the knees and the weight moves simple up sh*t easy and done I can knock out 160lbs easy on the smith machine lmao

>3 months
>90lbs
pretty happy with it i'm sure i'll get there some day

keep it up, brothers. we all start somewhere.

>tfw horribly inflexible and have a hard time even putting my arms straight up

Been stretching them for like 3 months and I still have trouble

90lbs

nice b8 m8

But srysl, 1pl8 took me half a year. It was certainly my slowest lift, but increases steadily with moderate consistency and work ethic. Just work on it continuously and don't expect miracles over night or even a month.

Ebin

I'm halfway through my third week.

Just completed the 0.5pl8 mark.

60 kg. 80k kg if you count the bar

Don't listen to

seeing the retard-tier replies in the thread i wanted to bring attention to something

push press =/= ohp

Ignore this faggot. Total weight is what matters.

1pl8 is having a 20kg plate on each side of your 20kg bar, for a total of 60kg.

2pl8 is 100kg total.

3pl8 is 140kg total.

Etc.

OHP is easily my weakest lift. 1pl8 is in sight, but fuck me it's been tricky.

It's the final piece in the magic 1/2/3/4 puzzle.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as an OHP, is in fact, a THE/Press, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, THE plus Press.

>final piece
You mean you reached 4 plate diddly before 1 plate OHP?

lmfao

Just do the "Cheat Press" instead

trying too hard to bait

At my last gym there was actually a guy small enough that he could ohp in the squat rack.

God, meant power cage, not squat rack.

>wearing out your knees when you could just lower the weight
?

>you will never be too big to OHP in the squat rack

Would Stallman frequent a libre gym?

My OHP was 90 two years ago when I got back into lifting (well after a couple weeks it was 90).

Now I'm at 105 5x5. Best I've done is 110. My OHP refuses to budge. If I try to go for more my ulnar nerve flips out and I have to stop.

tfw when 130kg overheadpress and 150kg push press.

Dumbbell press 78kg and soon 86kg

+natty

130kg overheadpress

lol, fucking manlet can`t even do bodyweight OHP

...
A rack, a weight belt, and noticable gear abuse.

No belt in ohp atleast

>been stalled at 80 lb press
>injure wrist
>2 months later
>start ohp again last week
>back at 70
dang
