bycicles are invented in the 16th century

The Armada lands safely on England

How long to you think the Republic would have lasted had this happened.

...

Don't know. Longer, since Caesar would not have his legions cross the Rubicon unscathed. Also i'd think Vercingetorix would be killed 10-20 years after his victory, since Gauls didn't like great leaders.

Archelaus beats Sulla decisively at the Battle of Chaeronea and Sulla is killed in the battle.

You're already looking at it wrong. If you're using Alt-his to specify a scenario you're inevitably going to start wanking over it and twisting what is likely to happen to suit whatever autistic vision you have.

You go the other way around. You take history, you change a small number of factors, ideally just one, and try to plot out what would have happened instead. It's a thought experiment, a tool (admittedly a weak one) to try to isolate effects to particular causes.

Tesla embraced. Not Edison

Okay, how about the native inhabitants of the Americas weren't susceptible to whatever diseases the explorers/ settlers brought over.

Bactria manages to hold off the nomad invasions and later on resists the Arabs.

Look at colonisation in India and Africa, keeping in mind that North and a lot of South America don't have hostile climates, whereas Africa and India do.

The us annexes or buys Cuba at some point. Ie in 19 whatever it was or with the onstead manifesto. It would have made the Cold War a lot more interesting bc we might have had a full scale conflict of Cuba missile crisis didn’t reign in the military a little bit

Ostend Manifesto, but I get what you mean. Eisenhower fucked up so hard by not enforcing it. PBSUCCESS went to his head way to easily despite being entirely different scenarios.

hehe wat if Natzees one WWtoo xxxxD

But Red Dawn exists user

you guys know about that dumb ass chinese invention where they put a bunch of bottle rockets on a chair and thought it would blast some chink off into space? well what if it worked and a chinese man went to the moon in the year 1600, and then when Niel Armstrong gets to the moon in the 60s, theres a chinese man there just chillin out

not really alt history since it was about something that could happen in the future when it was made

XDDDD the werld wuld be 50 yers ahed with technolgy nd al niggers wuld be ded XD

But it's alt history today

>Almost 30 posts in and no mention of Kaiserreich

FDR dies in 1944, and Henry Wallace narrowly loses to Thomas Dewey. Dewey, unlike Roosevelt or Truman, is more on board with Operation Unthinkable, and the US, Britain, and re-armed elements of the Wehrmacht drive to the east in July 1945 with the goal of resetting the 1937 borders. Stalin scraps his promise to declare war on Japan, and devotes all resources to countering the Allied invasion while signing a non-aggression pact with Japan.

Austria opting not to annex Bosnia after the Russo-Turkish war. That could've had a massive impact.

There's been at least two really good games dealing with that scenario, Operation Flashpoint and World in conflict.

The basic scenario of Kaiserreich is interesting. There are some implausible elements (the whole American Civil War, Germany controlling half of China and being able to inherit most of the British and French colonies) but those ultimately make the game more balanced.

I think Germany controlling the colonies makes sense. If they won the war, wouldn't it be theirs for the taking?

This meme is hilariously funny but only because I've had drink

Not necessarily. They'd dominate Europe but Britain would still control the seas and have German colonies under occupation.

Something that gets us pregnant Anne Frank

Would be a really cool history that we would never know about

Hilary and obummer get public executions

Probably something involving the development of 19th century British company law.

Anne Frank wouldn't even be born if the Confederacy won the Civil War. Though that applies to any point of deviation before her birth.

Tell me more user. What does this change?

Bicycle 1500 basically requires late 19th century tech levels.

It would increase the breeding range to 15 - 30 km.

Shakespeare actually was a black woman. This is recorded by a vast number of credible sources and all of Shakespeare's plays are clearly and indisputably attributed to her.

>Anne Frank wouldn't even be born if the Confederacy won the Civil War.

I don't think the outcome of the American Civil War would have much of an impact on her native Germany. Apart from some immigrants and revolutionaries serving in the opposing armies, German participation in the US Civil War was non-existent, it might as well have not occurred at all it was so remote.

It's weird thinking about it. People in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa just going about their daily lives as usual while North and South were locked in a titanic struggle to decide America's future.

wowsers I came here to post this. Are you me??

That's not how it works

Sorry,meant For

Islam doesn't spread as far, leaving Zoroastrianism alive, but it still gets into Africa and South East Asia through trade.
And the Byzantines survive

Well then you explain how altering the outcome of the Civil War would most definitely lead to Anne Frank's non-existence.

But what if Neil armstrong was a confederate?

Only a very minor change needs to exist for Anne Frank not to exist. It could be as minor as her parents having sex on a different day. Now think of all the minor changes that could occur between 1865 and 1929. And this is assuming that her parents exist in the first place (which is unlikely if not outright impossible for the same reason). Also the outcome of the Civil War could easily have a significant impact on Europe.

Aztec Empire seeing the modern age

That's not alternate reality, it's just called Mexico now.

I don't see how America literally being drowned in a sea of its own blood impacts the sex lives of German Jews living 3,000 miles away who may as well not be aware that the war is even going on.

>Also the outcome of the Civil War could easily have a significant impact on Europe.

Europe specifically refused to become involved in the Civil War because it was so remote to them.

the lore is that once britain turned communist, the germans swooped in and anchluss'd everything that wasn't on the island or close to independence

>hey babe, lets boink
vs.
>hey babe, the confederacy actually won their war for independence. lets boink

that extra 5 seconds is enough for a different sperm to get to the egg. now multiply that worldwide for 70 years.

>I don't see how America literally being drowned in a sea of its own blood impacts the sex lives of German Jews living 3,000 miles away
Very easily when you consider that for Anne Frank to have been conceived, quite literally every single event in the regions of Germany where Anne Frank, her parents and her grandparents lived from 1865 to her conception would have to be identical to the timeline where the Union won. This is impossible. Look up the Butterfly Effect.

>there are actually people in this thread arguing whether or not Hood's Division launching the assault on Little Round Top ten minutes ahead of schedule and causing the Union's left flank to collapse because they beat the 20th Maine to the top of the hill would result in Otto Frank not busting his load into Edith at the exact right second in September, 1928 to conceive Anne the famed diarist

What if China hadn't become isolationist and had instead explored colonialism?

why cant more alt-his movies be about shit like this?

The library of Alexandria was not burned down, all the scrolls were copied and the knowledge was passed on.

the franco-british union forms and enters the cold war as a third superpower

Imperial Japan doesn't bomb stays out of trouble's way with the western powers, ends up controling all of east Asia plus some of south-east Asia. Like a North Korea (divine royal line ruling over an-ultra racist, specially against the west, militaristic people). It would be horrifying, but it isn't nearly as played out as "urss doesn't fall" or "3rd reich doesn't fall" scenarios.

I also like to imagine what it would be like if Napoleonic France went on into our day and age.

If the hwanic didnt kill brutus at the battle of xella

Imagine the damage to the finns

>what alternate history scenarios are actually interesting to you guys?

No Pentateuch.

Not to mention that the romans rejected the notion of romans being capable of losing a war. They'd just send in some other general, most likely Pompey, to finish the job and take all the credit, who would then use his newly gained political capital to make himself the defacto ruler of Rome. The republic was already dead, it just hadn't been buried.

This is some meta-level alt history:D

Kaiserreich suffers from the fact that it's designed by literal tankies. But the idea of a central powers victory is interesting once you get past commie wank

Technological advances take longer to become the daily norm. Pretty much no difference in the long term.

Just fucking imagine that shit

We'd probably wear togas instead of suits when looking formal.

Mongols never happened.

The library didn't contain any knowledge that would drastically change anything. Most of it were copies anyway, so we probably didn't even lose that much.

Boy was Southland Tales such a shit movie...

Threads already exists, user.

Literally all of these except World War III (Team Yankee could use a movie/modern video game spinoff btw), Fatherland, Great Martian War, Final Countdown, and Sky Captain are absolute garbage.

Also when are we getting a pregnant Anne Frank movie?

I want to see a Kriegsmarine in similar size to the IJN take on the Royal Navy in the onset of ww2 in the Atlantic.

You'd have to delay the war until the 1945 at the very least to get that.

Force Z had barely started work in 1939.

>Nukes are never invented
>Operation Downfall begins and ends in Japan divided between Soviets and Americans
>In 1962 World War 3 begins between American Nato and Soviet Warsaw pact with new 60's equipment.
>World is plunged into yet another but even more dewvastating modern warfare

It's a fun setting, It can be whatever type of wank you want it to be even if it's starts as commie wank ("muh non-bolshevik commies are not that bad, guys!"). Lore is a bit underdeveloped in some countries, and some it is being reworked, so I'm really looking forward to each update.

Shame it's on a shit game, and that the DH version will be updated in centuries (and I can't enjoy that game anymore anyway, played it too much).

>tfw you will never go on an integralist crusade with your brothers in faith called by the pope against the syndie godless horde after MittleEuropa fell

Muhammad fails to found Islam, leaving a Zoroastrian/Buddhist/Hindu East and Christian West.
Leaves the ERE essentially unchallenged on its eastern flank long enough to successfully retake Justinian era territories (probably the whole of Iberia included).
Agent of Byzantium is a pretty good example of this minus his weird decision to leave the Sassanid Empire as a superpower in the same cold war esque stand off they had before, despite them getting thoroughly BTFO by Heraclius

My other crackier favorite is if Zinoviev and Kamenev successfully gain control of the Soviet Union and it either Glasnosts itself out of existence a la Gorbachev, leading to either a constitutional Monarchy or more likely a Republic, or is like Deng Xiaoping's China

Russia and Entente powers win WW1 before 1917

k

>They'd dominate Europe
Germany would face massive resistence in Eastern Europe to its rule.
If war would start Poland,Czechs possibly Ukrainians would flip to other side quickly to libere themselves from chattels of Mitteleuropa.

Central Powers winning WW1. Would be interesting to see if the United Kingdom and France go the route of Nazi Germany. Perhaps a reverse WWII.

I'm not you, but can appreciate the thinking man's alt-history

>by Portugal

This is the stupidest thing I've ever read.

>Would be interesting to see if the United Kingdom and France go the route of Nazi Germany.
impossible. Those two nations were under very different historical circumstances than Germany. A fascist France like Italy? Maybe. but you’d probably see France go communist before it went national socialist.

>German Jews

She was from Holland you retard.

Someone post NBF's memeball making fun of Anne Frank's not being a Dutch citizen

Aurelian is not killed by the Praetorian Guard. Manages to sack Ctesiphon and relieve Rome's coffers with the campaign's spoils. Might spearhead Rome's Pantheon against Christianity with Sol Invictus at its head.
