Standing rows are utter shit
We have this tall bench that you can do proper rows while laying down, feels fucking good mang

5lb more than last time

Atleast 9001 grams mate

...

>i dont know how to row without chest support
DYEL
m.youtube.com/watch?v=4xq3BsKTzYo

If you can deadlift it, you dont need chest support

>9 kilo
So not even the empty bar?

Does it make sense to do both bent over row and one arm row with dumbbells after? Or should I just do one of them?

One arm row are better as an accessory than a main lift.

Barbell rows are better as a main lift.

If you are still novice, maybe hold off on accessorizing until your lp slows down.

Rowing from the floor is a meme

Agreed. I row from the ceiling

I prefer to use machines I can focus on using my back a lot more

lel

>He needs a bench to row
I bet you fucking yates row in the squat rack off the pins. Tell us about your quarter squats and bounce deadlifts next you weak faggot.

Currently 67.5kg. Pendlay rows

I don't know what my max is but I could do 155 for 5 reps

thanks user

135lb yates for reps

175 3x6

Form breaks down around 185, so im trying to not be such a pussy

225 lbs 5x5 pendlay row

Any heavier and my form breaks down. I bench 335 1x1.

I don't deadlift, it ruins physiques

I told you I row from a bench where you have proper low back support, doing them standing literally does nothing, I did them for like three years, you don't fucking feel anything besides your forearms, doing them on bench feels ten times better, the squeeze is insane

55kg and going, I'm a noob. It's getting "jerky", though, tips?

spotted the DYEL

First summer here ?
embarrassing tbqh with you senpai

95lbs

make sure your form is solid and dont ego lift

You know except you're not getting your traps, lats, and spinal erectors at all and instead turning it into a fucking bicep exercise, which is fucking retard. You're a fucking mongoloid lmao.

People like you should fuck off to whatever 24 hour fitness center they make no progress at.

>if you can deadlift it, you dont need chest support
let's see you row lmao4pl8

Bench rows are actually great though, senpai.

I used to BB row until I tried out laying down rows. They're way better; you get a superior upper-body squeeze and you don't need to worry about fucking up your back if you make a mistake.

As much as I can bench

>squeeze
This the word retards toss around
>you don't need to worry about fucking up your back if you make a mistake.
Pls leave and go hang out at the squat rack and talk about how dem der squats will tear your knees up.

I have done 295 for a few, then I dropped BB rows for a while for chest supported rows, and lately I've started doing BB rows again because they're just so much more fun.

>at least

>he actually counts the weight of the bar

215lb Pendlay Rows 3x5 at 185lb BW. Still progressing pretty smoothly though.
I don't really bench anymore, but I can still knock out lmao2plate close-grip 3x5.

Do you lift the bar or not?

I'm at 145 as of the last session, but today I'm going to do 150lbs. I've never done that much, and I'm a little nervous but also excited. I really like lifting bros. Whenever I do rows, I start feeling like I have to poop. Is that normal?

No, it means you're a gay nu-male.

Listen here faggot, I might find some of you cunts attractive (no homo) but I am no nu-male. Quit trying to pawn off your shit onto others, Sean.

I don't do rows anymore, and when I did I never liked it.

i do 205 for 3x10 after hitting biceps on Pull day
focus on the motion of drawing your elbows backwards. mind muscle connection is so helpful, and usually i'll blast biceps first to take them further out of the equation. understand what the muscle does and isolate it.

weighted pull ups are the superior movement

is scott herman a homosexual?

It's rows who the fuck cares about form

bounce the knees as much as you fucking want it's not the fucking ipf

great advice!

Spotted the retard.
I bet you think squatting above parallel is okay too. Do you even lock out on deadlifts?

Stopping doing rows today.

Rotator cuff keeps getting injured and never hurts doing ohp etc only rows.
After some research found out they pinch a tendon in your shoulder

20 kg

yeah but squat is superior to pull ups

no, because squat is a competition lift you nonce

Youre clearly DYEL. A squat that is not at least to parallel is not a completed rep you giant pussy.

>submitting to rows when lat pulldown, pullups AND chin ups exist

Why do people waste their time with inferior exercises?

>don't feel anything
>must be a shitty exercise

This is a good post

Rows are decent for rear delt development, which will be lacking if you only use pullups/chinups for your upper and mid back development.

For my back, I'm currently doing:
pullups x2 per week
rows x1
deadlifts x1

Different exercises work muscles differently. Nothing wrong with having a favorite, but it's seldom a bad idea to have variety.

0/10

I think you misunderstood what I just said mate

I didn't and what he said still stands, you're a giant pussy.

>not doing inverted rows

4x8 70kgs, and I'm pretty DYEL

you just said the same thing twice

It's called "being fat".

what's this language you guys are speaking, DYELese?

this. 5x5 2pl8s.

i do it in the squat rack, no pussies ever fucked with me LOL

1st set - 1 plate, 16 or so reps
2nd set - 2 plates, 10 reps
3rd set - 2.5 plates, 8 reps
4th set - 3 plates, 3 or 4 reps

anyone else here do reverse grip bent over rows instead?

nah I do mixed grip

how's that work out for you?

I am now injured because of it.

it's great for joint confusion
made some real good gains

>hurr I didn't understand what he was saying
Just because you can deadlift it doesn't mean you can row it. But if you can row it, you can row it without a bench.

Pendlay row master race reporting in
70kgs 2x5 and 1x10 today.
Feels good.
Also let me brag about my tested 1RM pull up, 40kgs plus my bodyweight (80kgs)

what the shit is going on with his accent?

SS says do Pendley Rows so I do as Tippytoes says :(

2 plates of 45

15kilos per side

im not gonna make it

dont say master race if your rowing 70kgs 2x5 you weak peice of shit

>not doing all of them
I bet you can't even glide on your lats fagget

I can do reverse grip rows with 225. That's the only way I do them. Can also do one arm db rows 100lbs for 10-12

I think you accidentally put "lbs" instead of "kg" it's okay though, it happens to the best of us

>the year is 2016
>still needing a bar to lift

No but he is from Boston so it's kind of the same thing.

kek don't know what this made me laugh

185 for 3x5 Yates, soon to be 190.
