here,

the 3 plate squat will come with time. it took me almost two years to hit it because i was training like a retard. if you're training better than i was you'll hit it soon with those stats. since you're kind of small like me the 3 plate squat will be all the more impressive when you hit it.

i'm a month into stronglifts though my squats are behind everything else since i had fucked form for the first 2 weeks so i figured it was best to just start fresh with proper form to avoid injury

Nah

Thanks user
>since you're kind of small like me the 3 plate squat will be all the more impressive

That's what I keep telling myself. I mean 3pl8 will be 2x bodyweight for me (assuming I stay around this weight) so that makes me happy for once I hit it.

I'm just trying to be patient and not be dumb about my training anymore

it really, REALLY helps to follow a regimented strength-oriented program when trying to up your numbers. personally i really liked 5/3/1 and i highly recommend reading the book. there's even an app for it now.

5/3/1 is what got my squat from 315 to 340 and my bench from 205 to 225.

if your form is that bad and you have trouble squatting properly you can sub leg presses for a few weeks. even rippetoe suggests this.

Any tips bumping up numbers on bench? I tend to stall and deload almost every workout

>5'11.5"
you truly are the king of kings

Yeah man, I heard great things about 5/3/1 but I feel like my numbers are a bit low to be working with percentages as of yet (i.e. working with 70% of an estimated 270-275 ORM would be a measly 192lbs). I'm following Candito's LP and got my squat from 210 for reps to 235 for reps so far. Gonna keep going.

Was actually gonna join my school's powerlifting club next year to learn all the more about programming. I am fucking determined

>Any tips bumping up numbers on bench

Take it down to a number you can 3 x 8 with last set to failure at no more than 10.

For a Sami? I could be Laib olmai himself at my height.

Just failed 190lb. squat for the third time and am looking forward to the deload, but even more looking forward to switching to 3x5 for squats.
Also just did 95lbs. OHP after a deload on that.
DL I'm getting 1x5 every other attempt, but haven't deloaded on that yet.
Bench and rows progressing nicely.

i've heard good things about candito's program. by all means keep doing that if you're still making gains. 5/3/1 will still be around if you ever wanna give it a try (i've also heard good things about rippetoe's madcow program). i think 5/3/1 worked better for me because i'm a bit older than most of this board so working light sometimes helped make sure the gains kept coming without killing me, but ymmv.

I'm about the plateau on squats, I can feel it. also how do I get better at OHP?

Eh to correct that user, your last set should fail before or on 8 if you're doing 3x8. if you can do 3 x 10 on the last set its not really to failure

How have lifts suffered from going from complete fatass to just a fatass? Lift gains should have been on EZ mode even while cutting.

I bust my ass (literally) working on my legs, but I never get stronker, just bigger.

I just want a 3 pl8 squat senpai

if you want to get stronger than start squatting 3x a week, doing 3x3 at 85% of max. Should be ez gains

Try lowbar bud. Ever since I went lowbar I've been adding 5-10lbs a week to my squat. I'm 6'8 so squats aren't exactly my friend. So stoked to hit the glorious 4pl8 squat

I was doing 155 when I stopped but I didn't like the lift so I figured why continue?
