Veeky Forums what is, hands down, the best source of protein? If I'm honest, the most significant source of protein I consume is whey shakes because it's only 5 calories/gram of protein. It's super easy to hit the minimum protein on macro goals since it's so low.
What do you guys think is the best?

It might be broscience but in my 6 years of training I've always felt that red meat give me the best gains.
Having said that, i'd say a variety of sources is your best bet.

There is no "best" in that eating a single one is dumb — you sjould eat a variety of high-protein foods (eg. chicken breast, tuna, quark, lentils, cottage cheese, etc. etc.) and not just religiously focus on the macronutrient.

I am trying to eat more reasonable lately. But I only managed to get ~75g Protein at ~1700kcal intake during the last few days. I am not going to make it, am I?
