Kek...have fun with that investment, faggot.

Aussie here.

Married 2 young kids.

430 a week mortgage.
200+ groceries
100+ petrol
About 150 a month on elec
150 a month gas

Then various other childcare, insurance, rates etc.

1000 a week doesn't go far these days.

Your lucky in oz if you pay less than 300 a week rent and live anywhere near a job.

Age?

Just ask gf to take the birth pill

> $800 rent
> $50 portable washer dryer
> $350 food
> $40 gas
> $150 phone
> $150 car insurance
> $100 in miscellaneous subscriptions netflix spotify etc

I get 1,656.60 every fortnight. With this, I spend:

>Rent: $320
>Groceries: $250
>Transport: $40
>Coffees and bullshit: $150
>Entertainment: $200
>Averaged spend on crypto: $280

Leaves me with give-or-take $900 per fortnight in savings. Leaves me with around $10k savings per year.

Am I fucking stupid? Is this reasonable? Is $10k a year (and I actually do it, this year I saved around $10k in about 9 months even after moving across the country to start a new job) a decent amount to have saved in cash?

Some women can't do the pill. My girlfriend has tried everything and they all have negative health effects on her...I'm good with wrapping though. I never want children.

Dude I live in an apartment which is legit only slightly larger than a garage, and pay $320. Brisbane (Ausfag).

You can live like kings with that here in Portugal

$300 can barely get you a single bedroom apartment in australia

Yes, but I would earn 20% of what I earn here. Btw, I love Portugal, but your economy isn't that stellar right now... Well, it's still better than my country (eastern European dump hole)

How much do I need to retire in Portugal for a comfy single middle class life? 1 million? My parents make about €60k a year after bullshit taxes and I don't want a downgrade in lifestyle.

Ask your boss if you can work remotely and move to a cheaper place.

I'm thinking about selling the home. But taxes are a fucking bitch here. I could retire and life purely off of investment dividends and have enough money to make my future children trust fund babies but I'd give almost more than half of the value to the government. Fuck that.

>Rent: $450/month

>Food: $120 (mostly eating out and 2-3 times a week - in fancy places)
>Transportation: $10 (no car cuz I live in city centre)
>Going out with gf: $100
>Bills: $100

And I save around $500/week. If you're in tech you should move to a cheap place.

Not putting savings into crypto since my portfolio mooned and the difference would be negligible.

Per month in euros.
>rent 350
>utilities 60 (approx, I don't really keep track)

I don't really spend money on anything else. I guess I could add like €30 to €50 per month for miscellaneous (dentist, clothes, gym, bike repair, gym, etc). I live in Ireland.

Your annual expenditures for living in a crowded North American city exceed the LIFETIME earnings of most people on Earth.

>all these rent cucks

paying 0 rent because I own a house, suck it.

You can buy a very nice house for 300k and most people live on 10.000€/year

You can even buy a fucking dracula castle

Seems cheap as fuck but I'm an international student so we basically get robbed on school fees...

depends on where you were living bro. i live in bumfuck nowhere. but yeah you probably got scalped. having japanese proficiency and a place of respect in the community works wonders.

just fly here and get a job

Not as easy as that, will probably marry someone for citizenship though when i know the language well enough

>Jeez, how much do you earn per month?
I'm a frenchfag btw but this seems enormous

holy shit guys yall pay a lot for rent.

live in a city near Vancouver, Canada. Live alone in an average condo. Total monthly expenses to cover necessary bills (rent, utility, internet, car insurance, gas, basic food, gym membership, etc.) equals about ~$1500/month total. I can cut it down to $1350-1400 if I skimp on certain foods. That's also with zero social activity, no eating out at restaurants, going out for drinks on the weekends, or going on dates where I pay. If I add that on top it can push it to ~$1700++, but for the last year or so I've been kind of a shut in so its consistently ~$1500
