Can I still smoke and stay fit?

Hey Veeky Forums recently I started smoking casually again (one a day if that even) After two years of not smoking, and I was wondering if I could keep this up and also keep up with my cardio, which is mostly just cycling on bike trails and mountain biking.

Don't be a fool, quit right now before you're back to full smoker status

Honestly, when I was a non smoker, i was just so miserable, I had these terrible cravings every fucking day dude; I've been smoking for the past month and have felt the happiest i've felt in a long time without really any cravings. I was just worried in case my performance would be hindered drastically by doing so..

Doesn't the warning label say can cause death. How retarded are you user.

just cold turkey this shit and don't look back

yeah i know the cravings suck ass, they'll go away too.

oldfag reporting btw, started smoking at 15yo, dropped cold turkey at 31 and now it's been a little over an year without this piece of shit.

Yes.

Remember that Chad smokes.

Literally only betas fear death.

This

Two or three cigs a day isn't going to kill you, or really have any significant impact on your cardio performance. You're not a professional athlete, so don't worry about it. Just have some self control, keep the smoking in check, and you'll be fine.

For some reason the American media has whipped up a gigantic hysteria surrounding smoking. We always knew it wasn't good for you, but if it takes 30 years for two packs a day to kill you, how bad can it possibly really be? Come on people.

...

Yes you can if you keep it under control. Plenty of athletes smoked openly before the social stigma caused most of them to become secret smokers. There used to be a great article on runners who smoke, I'll see if I can find it.

>how bad can it possibly really be?
Yeah. It's not like inhaling burning plant materials can do any harm

I started smoking when I was 12. Quit two years ago. Am 29 now, still smoking that weed on a daily. And hashish, but now I use tobacco substitute with no nicotine, made of eucaliptus, hazelnut and papaya.

Cigarettes are shit. Absolute shit.

I've been off smokes for 2 years after being a pack a day for at least 7. Don't give in user, it's not worth it. Even throwing the health concerns aside, the money you'll save by not buying smokes is fucking ridiculous. Like "won the lottery" ridiculous. I worked it out that I was spending $3000 a year on smokes, and half that much on weed. Cut both out and now I'm rolling in the dough

Also this. I feel you bro, we're going to make it.

(This is me )

Does smoking slow down protein synthesis? Does it prolong recovery?

My guess is it has a similar effect to caffeine; at least that's what I noticed. It alleviates muscle aches (doms) but other than that doesn't do anything. Obviously smoking anything fucks up your lungs. If at any time you find yourself out of breath in a workout you need to cut down on the smoking.

>one a day
>casually
Pick one.

>For some reason the American media has whipped up a gigantic hysteria surrounding smoking
>For some reason
It's because smoking increases test and GH and jews really really hate for the goyim to have functioning endocrine systems

Let me put this in terms Veeky Forums can understand:
>Two or three burgers a day isn't going to kill you, or really have any significant impact on your weight. You're not a professional bodybuilder, so don't worry about it. Just have some self control, keep the eating in check, and you'll be fine.

>For some reason the American media has whipped up a gigantic hysteria surrounding burgers. We always knew it wasn't good for you, but if it takes 30 years for two burgers a day to kill you, how bad can it possibly really be? Come on people.

you can smoke and be Veeky Forums, but you can't smoke and be fit.

Correct, burgers don't kill you either.

I quit for two years before this, and I still felt the cravings for two years after stopping, so I mean, I don't think they were going away man.

>Smoking
>Fit

Hey bros can I eat fast food everyday and stay fit?

Yep. You got it bro

Jesus fuck just stop fucking smoking.

In my experience you can still make gains while smoking

When I started actually doing cardio I quit because its impossible to do while smoking.

I vaped for like 6 months and quit

If your name is Ricardo Mayorga, yes.

I eat fast food everyday and do GOMAD and I still have abs 2 months later.

>You're going to have to be one of those people who wake's up to how easy it is to quit and have a bleak worldview because of it.
>you can just quit and think all other smokers are living a lie
>It's the FLAMMABLE KIKE.

This.

But seriously, as far as I know it doesn't negate gains. But your odds of playing a full game of tennis without blacking out are zero.

>Like for real bro it's up there with:
>Weed
>Beer
>Sugar
>Porn
>Vidya
>Anime
>Roids
>Vape
>Dab
All of this other manchild shit will rotate out and you can be far ahead of the pack of manchildren. If you want to be relevant than you got to sell your soul to these KIKES. Take it from me and see what is best for you and what is the blue-pilled lie that keeps the world sleeping
>Pro-tip roids are mad nice.

Smoking isn't worth it man, you might get addicted again which makes life suffering.

Plus it'll make your breath stinky.

>Can I still smoke and stay fit?
NO, you moron, YOU CAN'T.

does it fucking matter? you stop either way.
seriously, there is literally no reason to be smoking at all.

>smoke a cigarette a day
>the cravings didn't go away when I quit, man

You sound like a fucking idiot. You never 'quit' because you never started smoking. To answer your question, yeah you'll be fine

One cigarette a day won't make any harm to your health. It was scientifically proven.

I love people who think it's not possible to keep smoking in check. I started over 10 years ago and it's never progressed beyond a casual thing for me. I can go from smoking every night (if I'm going out a lot or particularly stressed about something) to not touching one for months and never giving it a second thought. Maybe I'm just wired differently, but the addiction element has never been a factor for me. I currently haven't had one in a month, and the thought of smoking hasn't even crossed my mind during that time.

>or particularly stressed about something

Obviously you do not have a stressful job.

I've been a chain smoker for eight years, and ran over 3000 meters on a 12-minute test when I applied to this one place this year, I was beyond surprised as male average is 2600 or something

It's nasty habit though especially in the long run

yes you can OP, don't listen to these autistics fucks

>smoking
never gonna make it

This this this. I thought I was immune to the addictivity of nicotine, and with the ease of vaping (inb4 fedora) I would do it literally all the time but only at my desk. Within 4 months or so I was plain old hooked. If I went an hour without vaping, I would be tired and irritable. I would wake up early to vape. I would vape right before I went to bed. I became practically glued to my desk seat and chain vaped 6mg all day long.

I really knew I had a problem when a heavy tobacco and vape user friend of mine tried my vape and coughed like mad. When I told him it was 6mg he called me a "fiend". I had only been vaping for 7 months.

So when summer started I went cold turkey. The first weeks were hell, I had bad headaches and a horrible mood. But after that it cleared up and the cravings dropped. It won't be the same as quitting cigs but the sooner the better.

You equal 2 cigarettes a day to two burgers. Then you equal two packs of cigarettes (40) to two burgers. How retarded are you?

Man, I'm at a pack a day, 5'11", 148 lbs, 24 yo skinny fuck. I really need to cut back on muh thinking sticks.

I should try and go for a run Everytime I want one. Problem is I smoke half a pack at work. FUGGG
