Right now I'm fat muscular at 6 foot ~160 and between 15 and 20% bf.
Do you think calisthenics helped to lower your bf at all or was it diet?

Calisthenics in general is better for burning bodyfat imo because when you're exercising most of the time you're using full body complex movements. Like compare doing a muscle up and a seated curl. The muscle up obviously is much more taxing and technical.

Right now PPL but did full body and upper lower for some time. Routine is really not as important as people think.

not bashing calisthenics, I love it, have a day every week dedicated to cali movements like lever training, muscle ups, planche training, press ups, etc. but come on man, that was not a good reason to do calisthenics, just false information

my reasoning for calisthenics: fun, challenging, accessible, free, looks cool, somewhat applicable to real world (ie. jumping a fence)

Most people who mift generally arent doing stuff like snatches. The only movement i can think of that is commonly done by gymbros is the deadlift and the squat. And even then you are usually doing 3-5 sets at most while if you do cakisthenics you're gonna be doing shit like human flags, muscle ups etc for most of your exercises assuming you can do them.
