So what would have happened if Germany stopped at the sudetenland and didn't directly invade Czekoslovakia? Would they have gotten away with demanding Danzig from Poland, since it wouldn't show Hitler to be a liar? Would Hitler have won if he did this?

>wouldn't show Hitler to be a liar

German economy goes fucking nuclear, Britain and France breathe sighs of relief and insist that they planned to wait until Germany bankrupted itself all along.

Jesus Christ OP that map is horrible

>demanding Danzig from Poland

>demanding Danzig from Poland,
Are you fucking retarded?

P.S. Pic rel btw.

Never would have happened. Hitler's primary motivation was revenge for the first war. Against Jews, Communists, and the entente.

not him, but as a semi autonoumous state under poland, germany would have had to have dealt with poland to get danzig even by other means such as a vote.
more then danzig though, a continous land mass was a large secondary objective for the german government(interwined with 'uh versailes'), and as such they would have had to take land from poland itself to achieve this.
You seem to be at a stage where you can shit on 'paradox historians', however please be more respectful to your fellow his users as in reality you are still incorrect in your post

Kraut economy would have collapsed, on the other hand, if he followed the Schacht's plan, French couldnt be fooled by the meme strenght of the Luftwaffe and would support Czechoslovakia.

Hitler already said the Sudetenland was the last piece of territory he wanted, so demanding Danzig without annexing the rest of Czechslovakia would make Hitler a liar as well.

>autonoumous state under poland,
>under poland,
WHAT??????
Stop being stupid. The FREE CITY OF DANZIG was controlled by the League of Nations, not Poland.

How are the French and Anglos lying rats?

German economy would have crashed some point in the future. They needed the war

Hitler could have done anything that he wanted in regards to western and central Europe. What made Hitler lose the war was going back on the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with the Soviet Union and invading Russia. If he had maintained friendly relations with Stalin he probably would have been able to conquer all of Europe and even North Africa.

>what is polish customs union
>what is polish free access and ownership of all port facilities and related infrastructure

amerimutts on this website are so fucking dumb, think they know everything then sperg out when getting called out for only knowing some shitty american history that they learnt through highschool and paradox games

>>what is polish customs union
You IDIOT.
>access and ownership of all port facilities and related infrastructure
>all port facilities and related infrastructure
What fucking BS, the Poles only had Westerplatte. You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

oh no the economy crashes, thats so much worse than war Xd

>economy collapsing meme
(((tooze))) fanboys at it again

Impossible desu. Stalin was gearing up to fight him as well. The Hitler-Molotov meeting of November 1940 was a shitshow that proved to both sides the inevitability of a future conflict between them

.t Joo

The answer is they wouldn't have stopped at the sudetenland. If Hitler was in power then they were going to war, that's all there was to it. Even if everyone placated him at every turn he would've declared war on the USSR eventually to achieve his desire for lebensraum, he was firmly of the belief that without more land area Germany had no future as a sovereign world power. Maybe they could have delayed the war but I think that would've only made things worse.

If they had a leader other than Hitler in power then they might have never grabbed the sudetenland in the first place, so it's a moot point. You could ask "what if Hitler was assassinated/died of a sudden heart attack after the Munich conference?". In that case I think it's hard to predict who would succeed Hitler, and a power struggle would likely ensue. In that case Germany wouldn't be in a position to declare war on anybody for some time and history may have turned out quite differently.

They were economically isolated from most world markets, dependent on exports they couldn't pay for and many of their private enterprises had been bled dry by expropriation and a byzantine system of state decrees. An attempt to re-gear the economy from heavy armament production back to a peaceful consumer economy would have entailed a massive economic disruption.

Thing is that Danzing port facilities were polish lifeline.
Until Poles finished build port Gdynia(that they were build ASAP from scratch) they were forced to rely on Danzing.
In case of conflict with USSR and hostile German neutrality Poles would be fucked as they would be cut off from any allied help.
And that happen in 1920 when German blocked French transports in Danzing.
If Poles surrender Dnzing to Germans in 1939 they would be on their mercy and whims.

>Would they have gotten away with demanding Danzig from Poland, since it wouldn't show Hitler to be a liar?
Danzig wasn't Poland's to give you american GSG-playing retard

that seems far to logical user
as this guy says
anyone who thinks the poles have ownership over danzig port facilities and would defend them as a matter of strategic interest is an IDIOT
after all, why bother making an argument if you can just dismiss an argument by calling someone an IDIOT or RETARDED
is that not what historiography is all about?
(seriously though when will there be a board that americans are IP banned from)
