If you use the hex bar you're getting more of a squat exercise than a deadlift exercise. At least, that's what I've found for myself. I'm tall and have especially long legs, so that somewhat uncomfortable starting position in the deadlift is what makes the exercise for me. I don't get that with the hex bar.

OHP, hands down. There's nothing manlier than putting a really heavy weight over your head, even better if you clean it into position. Push presses and C&J are good, but too technique dependent imo. OHP also requires some technique, but it's really basic stuff and it's mainly dependent on brute strength. Also, I'd actually say log press is even manlier than the standard barbell OHP, but most gyms don't have it.
