My gym has a weird squatrack, I can go ATG with safeties but only just; I'm maybe a mm away from the safeties so I squat without them since the bar will never stay completely straight and if you get the little bounce you'll lose tension and fuck your shit up

I used to do 60 pushups a day because I was dumb enough to think high rep was good and the only reason I can't bench double is because my stabilizers are shit. I'm not making excuses, but I've never felt weak before. I spent most of my childhood avoiding athletics because it was full of judgmental meatheads, and I come on here, and am convinced to try my best, because people here care and try to help. But I'm glad I could be another fucking tool you use to stroke your ego and self absorption while making the community around you look shit.

Ok, my initial response was rude and not helpful, and I regret that because it took away from the Veeky Forums that helped me when I was morbidly obese. That said, Veeky Forums is not a safe space.

I'm not going to give you advice on your lifts because I'm a newbie too, that's not my area of expertise. But you should seriously consider therapy to deal with your anger issues and crippling insecurity. If one post can inspire walls of vitriolic text, you better believe your insecurity is obvious in real life too. Your lifts will come with time and dedication and will help your self esteem, but you need to work on your mind as hard as you work on your body. You don't want to bench 100kg and still feel like a piece of shit inside.
