You can't just be sticking to basic lifts mainly to achieve your maximum aesthetic goal, why limit yourself when there are hundreds of accessory workouts available for all of us?

Before that I used to be around 60KG, started working out, took a break, and started again.

Short term goal is 80KG, if I could get that by next summer I'll be happy.

They're also skewed AGAINST tall people, because we're naturally heavier without having extra muscle/fat, I try to ignore the words (novice, proficient, advanced etc) and just focus on the numbers.

I have been lifting for 4 years, and in those 3 years I did it natty. I started taking gear a year ago when I was already educated enough to make gains with or without. The truth is always somewhere in the middle
by doing a strength aimed routine at first you're maximizing your CNS gains and thus your exponential muscle growth is higher because you're utilizing more of your muscle and you're able to push higher weights

What comes after that initial step is all up to you, but even if you pick a BB routine, the time you spent doing strength will definitely be rewarded - and I'm disregarding other health benefits such as learning good form, strengthening joints and bones.

Also as long as it doesn't fuck with your progress you can add any accessory work you feel like to SS/SL/ w/e

Do you know who made my split? Take a guess. And also SS can only take you so far, my argument with him was that WHY do you want to settle with doing ONLY SS to get an aesthetic body? SS is great for strength, and grow muscle in a balanced way. But if your goal was to get that aesthetic body, you need a split to go along with your compound lifts to sculpt your body. you get it? You can do SS for sure, but why did he have to be so defensive about adding accessory workouts? are you that lazy?
