He counts the bar

>He counts the bar

>He doesn't count the bar

>everyone does
Don't be sour because you just unraveled the fact that you're autistic. Everyone learns out their first week in.

>He counts the plate holes

What is lifting your body weight?

not counting the bar kek

if you LIFT the bar, then you are LIFTING the bar's weight, so of course you count it

0/10 effort chump, fuck off

Who has time to weigh the fucking bar.

>Counting in weight instead of the ammount of plates

What is lifting your body weight?

>he counts the plates
why dont you just count the mass of the dust on the barbell while youre at it

>he uses a woman's bar

>he thinks a plate weighs 45lb
>he doesn't know that's the weight *before* they drill out the hole in the middle

>people who think a pl8 is 20kg

>2016
>not slapping on as many weights as possible without caring about the size or actual weight of the plates

>he doesn't check whether the bar is 20kg or 45#

>he looks at the arbitrary amount of weight being lifted rather than the volume of air the lift is displacing in the room

First week in the gym?

You guys crack me up lol

>2017 minus 3 months
>Not even adjusting for differences in gravity based on altitude

>he does competitive swimming
>he thinks the distance dived underwater counts

kek

When people say to start squatting your body weight it means just the bar. They don't say to start with 45 lbs.

>current year
>discounting latitude in your calculation
Not gonna make it

>Has such a shit life that faggot has to run around judging people to make himself feel better.

>drilling through over an inch of metal
>drilling through cast iron
huehuehue

Not me. I say squat just the bar. It's just that most people's leg muscles don't know a weight as low as 45lbs even exists.

>Not lifting the plates with your bare hands

Are you even trying?

>Not accounting for altitude

How do you account for altitude?

>he doesn't do modified farmer's walks with his middle and ring fingers in the hole
>not training to finger bitches
These guys are never gonna make it.

The guy squatting 4pl8 for reps at my gym counts the bar.
That's enough for me.

>not accounting for the position of the moon
If it can cause tides to go in and out you better fucking believe it has a noticeable effect on your lifts brehs

Literally who says that? Bodyweight is no bar.
People say start with the bar. Not bodyweight.
Dumb fuck.

Not gonna make it.

>record just the plates
>add 45 lbs later when not lifting
Is it really that hard to do?

How do I make it?

>not doing the simple addition in your head to keep basic math fresh in your head
>not fighting dementia by keeping your brain snappy with numbers
>not also using the 2.5lb plates to help with this
>not also doing percentages and shit
>not being able to do percentages in your head

What are you, retarded?
It's okay to be retarded. I just wanna know.

jesus christ user I think you're on to something

>time to start coordinating PR snatch/C&J weeks with lunar phases
>tfw plebs will never add 10kg to that PR by lifting during the waning crescent phase

>Not accounting for the sun's gravitational pull

do you count the weight of your arms on bench press too?

>not accounting for distance from the equator

Read the fucking sticky

>not lifting exclusively during high tide at venice beach Gold's to maximize gains to the skeletal-muscular system.

>not drinking crowtein to maximize your mass and increase ocular patdown potential

>Not balancing 6pl8 stacked in the middle of his back for A2G squats

>not counting the bar

Do you use a child sized bench press? That's the only reason I could think of that you wouldn't count it.

I got one of those for my son once, the bar became unusably bent just from keeping the max weight on it for a week, lmao.

>He counts the plate edges

I count the holes

There's the loli hole (5 kg)
There's the teen hole (10 kg)
There's the milf hole (20 kg)

I'm not into smaller holes (2.5 kg or 1.25 kg ones) since I'm not a sicko

What's a plate edge?

>He uses round plates

>He counts both sides

>altitude
>not compensating for the earth's magnetic field

Only lift on the night of the full moon, and make sure that it's low tide and that all of your lifts are done at a 60 degree angle to the earth's flex (flux) lines.

>He pushes instead of inverse pulling

DYEL

>bar is around 45 lbs
>45lbs should not be counted
and therefore lifting 4 plates is the same as lifting nothing

You're a faggot.

>45 lbs aka 20 kg is "four plates"

ahahahahaahah oh god please tell me you're joking

Weight is weight

>mfw just beginning and my bench routine consists of 15 reps of lifting the bar only, then 10 reps of 10 lbs on the bar, then as many reps as i can muster with just the bar again.

Feels bad desu. If I an only lift the bar, can I count it for my ego so i dont feel like a total pussy?

If you can do that many reps with just the bar then you're more than ready to start moving up. If you do sets of 5 until you can do 7 sets without much difficulty, you'll hit 135 in no time flat.

As long as your'e not sitting at home on your ass you can count what ever you want. Unless Euro fag then count in units of 1000

>he thinks he's not a virgin
>he counts his sister
And no, it doesn't count if she's 'high test'

do you not?

>not counting the perpendicular force vector to your squats/bench presses

realistically you're always lifting about 20% more than the actual weight on the bar

>He doesn't train in a near 0G environment for max accuracy when counting weights.

NEVER GONNA MAKE IT

>not accounting for a non-uniform gravity field

>not counting the physiological blood pressure in your body

It's like if you guys really don't want to make it

Should I could the bar when doing pull ups? Cause I can't seem to find a good way to weigh the bar without removing it from my door and it's bolted on.

Do you not understand my post?

Read it again, think about it.

I know this is b8, but some people actually don't count the bar. What if someone lifts less than 45 pounds? If they could only use a 15 pound bar, would they say they lift -30 pounds?

Sheldrake pls go

>he thinks the earth is round

>He thinks the universe isn't a simulation.

>He simulates the weight of the bar.

>not using activated plates

I know there's a lot of memeing in this thread, but I'm a Physics major at a Top 200 school, and I've given this some serious thought. Due to Newton's 3rd law, the the bar actually exerts a weight on the plates equal to the force of gravity exerted on the bar.

So if you bench 1pl8, the actual amount of weight you lifted is (weight on bar)-(weight of bar)=45 lb.

Some people count the leg press plate when they leg press lmao. Never been one to do it honestly.

Always counted the bar when ive done bench/squat/deads tho.

Fuck off nerd

I'm in mechanical engineering and what you posted makes little to no logical sense

I mean 90-45 does equal 45, but what the fuck are you trying to prove?

>Physics major at a Top 200 school
that's cute, kid.
get some work experience.

Of course you have to count the bar, you are lifitng it.

>he uses mass instead of weight when stating his stats

Fucking the normies who don't measure the exact pull of gravity at thier particular location, in order to get an accurate lifting numbers.

>tfw stuck on 981.187 Newton squat

Actually the bar is the only thing that you're lifting coz the bar is the one who lifts the plates

>claims to be a physics major
>misunderstands how newtons 3rd law applies to the bar
The bars weight vector doesn't suddenly move upwards to cancel out some of the weight vector of the plates you retard. Newton's 3rd describes how contact force works, which is explains how despite we experience constant acceleration due to gravity, we arent constantlu at motion downwards. Weight is constant, and is always mass times gravitational force. Please choke on your "45 lb 1pl8" and die

Fugg I hate mobile posting
*contsantly

He's obviously joking you idiots.

Are you actually retarded

>dyels getting butthurt about learning how little they actually lift

kek it's amazing how little most people know about science

do realize what this thread is?

>He thinks weight is real when lifting isn't real

>not using chaos magic to hallucinate you're lifting and tricking your muscles into growing without actually working

It's like none of you even shock the muscle

Underrated post

>OP doesn't know that the weights can't be real if our eyes aren't real

What a fucking DYEL, confirmed for never making it.

>he doesn't take into account the effect of the Earth's magnetic field on the plates
>he doesn't count the centripetal force caused by the Earth's rotation
>he doesn't take into account the gravitational time dilation caused by the squat rack
>he doesn't count the masses of the microscopic particles created/annihilated on the plates due to vacuum polarization

the equal and opposite force to earth's gravity on an object is the object's gravitational pull on the earth

jej

>gets btfo
>h-hehe let me shift goalposts. Le ebin meme famalam hehe
Please kys immediately

>not knowing that the moon cancels the sun's gravity

Everything around the hole for the bar, so if you're lifting 4pl8lmao you're actually not lifting anything at all

>he doesn't use triangular plates to maximise airflow efficiency

So 2pl8?

Source?
