Personally, I would like a job revolving around a fit lifestyle(which is one of the reasons I'm leaning to study anatomy/physiology), but at the same time I have a fear for the mundane life.
So how about you? What are, or were some your career path options? Do they fit in with your Veeky Forums lifestyle?

I'm already working my dream job. I'm a post-doctoral fellow at a research institution in my city. I'm on six figures two years out of university, been paying off my undergrad slowly but surely and the nature of my work means there's always something going on. I want to play guitar for a living, tour the world playing original music. I could be a hired gun or it could be my own band, I wouldn't mind. It's my biggest dream.
I moved to London two years ago to pursue it, but I failed and had to move back home (Copenhagen) and have been wallowing in my own pity and misery since. I've lost hope and fire.
I do car loans now and I barely practice guitar anymore because I get angry and frustrated when I do.
I hate myself and my life so fucking bad
Hudson Sullivan

My dream job was to work at an observatory.

The work is pretty interesting, but the levels of focus required for 8 hours a day are exhausting. Maybe I'll move into management. Also sitting at a desk all day feels a bit shit. I always take a walk around the hill during my lunch breaks.
Elijah Thomas
>post-doc >six figures The fuck? You curing cancer or some shit? Most post-docs I know get like a 50k stipend.

God you're an idiot. Single service farm life is horribad. There's a reason nobody does it anymore. You're just being romantic about something you have no idea about.
Here's an idea, why don't you take your time to do some on the side work as a farmhand literally anywhere, to get a feel for it? Wanna bet within two weeks you're gonna be sick of it?

I'm a fat ass fuck now too to make matters worse... I literally can't fit any of my clothes anymore. I work from home so I just wear a tshirt and swim shorts every day.
I'm starting to turn it around with working out and dieting though. The only thing that gives me any kind of joy (not really joy, it just stops me feeling depressed for a bit) is drinking tons of coke and eating lots of crisps. It's literally the only thing I think about.
I've stopped last week though. I've been dieting properly and working out 5-6 times a week. It'll take a long ass time before I don't look like a fucking lard ass and can fit my clothes again though.
I hate myself
