How many of you bench press less than 135 pounds?

How many of you bench press less than 135 pounds?

>tfw this is the weight on my first warmup set
>tfw you see people struggling to do working sets with less weight
Feels good

Op probably ohp less than that

Achievable in less than 3 months?

OP here. Strict press 205. Push press 250. Suck my dick.

I'm at 125 for sets right now, could probably do a rep or two at 135.

I've been working out for around 6 months now. I know I'm very weak. I have almost no athletic experience. I've spent a lot of time fucking around, not eating right, not sleeping enough, etc, but I'm still proud of my progress.

When I started I couldn't do 5x5 at 65 pounds, so I'm not too upset. Recently I've been making a lot more progress and taking it more seriously, so I should be up to 135 for sets in a few weeks.

You can do it, breh.

Post pics faggot, assuming you're not lying or a fat ass that's pretty impressive.

>From 125 to 135 in a couple of weeks.
Dude 200-500 calories more than your TDEE.
7-9 hours of sleep every night.
Do 3x5 or 5x5.
You can easily reach that by next week.

6'4" at 165 lbs, after 5 years of NEETism, results in the very impressive 1RM @ 80 lbs.

I've probably just tried doing bench presses like 4 times though.

Working on it. End goal body weight: 220 lbs.

DYEL here, can do lmoaunoplatt now and it took me about 4 months.

all of us?

OK, let me drive to the gym and take pictures so I can prove to some fucking idiot on Veeky Forums that I'm not lying.

I can bench 135 5x5, but any heavier and i seem to really struggle. My heaviest bench was about 160 but i havent come anywhere close in a while.

Any advice for how to push over that plateu?

>what is aiming camera at oneself

Dumbass

I just got to 185, trying to hit 225 for reps by the end of the year. Once I hit 1234, I'm going to stop doing a 5x5 scheme for awhile (6 months) and switch to 8-12 repetitions on the compounds and just bkast hypertrohoy out the ass.

really makes you think

Eat more and you'll get over the plateu.

Came here to post about how weak I am.
Then I saw you.

6'2" 155 lbs benching 105 for 3x5.
Was also NEET for years.

same boat, i can get 8 reps out, but getting 5 on 145 or 155 and we strugglin. also curious about pushing past this plateau, tfw no lifting bro to help push me or finish me off after my workout

haha, yeah. I tried to hit my maximum like that the 2nd time I ever tried benching though. only done it twice since, but been doing lots of other exercises targeting both triceps and pecs. I'll check in on my stats on Monday again.

decrease the weight, up the volume, do dropsets every other time you train a certain muscle group.

that's how I've kept myself from plateauing for years.

i could do 1pl8 in hs and i was a 5'2" manlet

He wants you to take pics of your body, not you doing the press

135 is babyshit. I could do that after 2 months at the gym

Microplates help a hell of a lot imo
they make you feel like a bitch, but they let you to continuously progress for much longer than even 2.5lb plates

my 1rm was 225 a week ago
today I repped 205 so
i think i am gonna make it

Me. I'm a weak fuck.

I can only do four sets of ten reps. 165/185/185/205. Today I just hit 225 for five reps after my four sets.

40lbs of 5x5 but i literally started lifting last week

i can only bench 95x5

but i weigh 110lbs so i think i'm alright

Reminder to keep at it and one day you'll be warming up with this weight

You guys are all weak as fuck. First time at a gym I benched a 155 for 2. I weighed 126lbs then

My wrestling pal weighs 115 and benches almost 160. So no, that's not alright

bet shes not as cute as me

Prove it (no homo)

I'm at 140 now but I started as a Manlet skelly last year so that's the slow progress. I'm pretty damn good with dips though, so they are where I increase chest the most.

I was stalled at 120lbs for a long time because of my shit form and grip.

After I fixed it I progressed quickly, currently at 185x1 going for 2pl8

How would being fat at all impact the impressiveness of that weight?

Me. Started lifting 3 weeks ago. Spent a year losing weight from being obese. Recently got confidence to start 5x5, on 60 lbs rn.

I bench 110, sucks because I BOR 150, but I'm 5'8" 150 pounds so don't look too bad.
Fucked around for a hot minute but I'm getting back to basics.

Don't listen to this guy. If you can only do 3x5 with 125, you really can't increase that to 3x5 with 135 in a week. Even increasing by 5 pounds a week is not realistic. If it were, it would only take a year to increase your lifts by 260 pounds. Don't ask Veeky Forums how fast you should progress because they will just lie and discourage you.

I'd feel better about myself if some perma bulk fatass is hitting that rather than someone aesthetic

Op is too stupid to realize this.

i feel like im stuck at 5x5 @135lbs. what do

>Never lifted for more than a week at a time
>~135 pounds
>Spend bulk of my time at a computer
>Benching 135 pounds is too ez
How have some people been lifting for a while and are weaker than me, a mere skeleton
>Apparently my dad struggled to leg press 75 pounds the other day
Wtf my dudes

This was me for two years up until i actually bulked like a madman earlier this year. Bench went from 120lb to 170 3x5. Lost 17 lb last i checked and that strength still stands.

Ok, I'll wait desu

Don't let Veeky Forums make you feel bad bro I was in the same spot.

Isn't that at least semi-realistic?
I went from 120 to 225 within 7 months.

I can't, but I will one day.

60 kgs is literally warmup tier and I barely lift

I went to the gym this week for the first time ever. I hit 100 doing 5x5. Not really impressive, but who cares.

>tfw 95lb is my 5x5 working set

Am I the weakest here

I'm weak as fuck right now. Can only bench 65. Are roids the only way?

My gyms dumbells only go to 120lbs

took me 4 months as well

lmao no just do a program with a focus on the compounds

I actually just benched 135 for reps for the first time today.
Feels good man

TFW I do, but it gives me pain in my collarbones and I don't know why

One of the bigger guys at my gym says I pick the weight off the rack with my shoulders and thats why it takes a lot of the weight, but I don't understand how not to do it.

How much is that in non retard units?

I don't know, I've been training 2 months but haven't been game to try...

Lmao1pl8

Moving up to 145lbs, should be there soon

Just benched lmao1pl8 for reps yesterday, good feels.
My body weight is 145 lbs ( 65kg)
Good feels

OHP VS PUSH PRESS

GO

Dyel here took me 9 weeks, starting from the bar, with a week break from rotator cuff injury.

>not countng the bar

I do 5x5 with 121lb weighted dips, 145 lb bw

i haven't tried a bench, probably can do 175lb for reps first time or something like that

I'm at 30 on both sides with dumbbell for 6*6. I think my ORM is 100 lbs.
I'm a weakass but I do it for me.

>40kg after six months of lifting

What the FUCK

6 months fuck dude I've only started lifting 5 weeks ago and I'm at 120lbs

yes

use chains instead of microplates, then you'll look like a cool dude
definitely

You bunch of DYELs, I started benching 2pl8 right after popping off my mom's womb.

five weeks? I started lifting 3 weeks ago and I'm benching 225

Eat more, experiment with accessory lifts.

Also, more volume.

check those dubs bitch

3.5 months here and it's looking like it's going the same way for me. I kinda figured progress was going horribly slow for me, good to know I'm not alone.
Hit 130 x8 last week so I should be able to hit 135 this week.

>OHP 185
>Bench 225
What the fuck is wrong with me

3 weeks?? I started last week and I'm benching 3 plates

Once you hit 1 pl8 do 3x5.

Last week?? >Today is first day, 4 plate bench.
fat fucks.

I'm at 160lbs 3x5 and have been stuck there for ages.

Started on a bs brosplit a year ago, couldn't even lift the bar 3X10

Changed routine in August to SL after a hiatus from late April - July, got to lmao1pl8 today, I'm really happy with my progress. I still look and lift like shit but slow and steady wins the race(war).

>Oh, and, 1.88 cm 100 kg hehehe
