Why were Muslims trying to invade Europe 400 years before the First Crusade?

It's their distinguishing characteristic.

inb4 "uhhh ummm christians started it" and "those particular muslims didnt represent the entire religion".

europeans invade neighbours for a gorillion years

Why do we know so much about the Mongol unit composition but not the Muslim ones? The Muslims kept far better records than the Mongols did.

For some reason the Crusades did "irreparable harm" to the Muslim world. But the Mongol invasions didn't do shit.

even ruskies don't bitch

The whole crusaders are devils narrative in the middle east only started last century, before that the mongol invasions were considered the greatest danger to the region in history. This also explains Saladin's rise in fame over the last century, in favor over Baibars who used to be the hero of the islamic world.

Why were Latin polytheists trying to invade Europe 700 years before The First Council of Nicaea?

>For some reason the Crusades did "irreparable harm" to the Muslim world. But the Mongol invasions didn't do shit.
Whom are you quoting? Mongol invasion is universally accepted as the greatest catastrophe in the Islamic history, and Crusades as a limited episode with little to no consequences to the Islamic world as a whole.

>an angry sandnigger that put all these "citation nedeed" and "unreliable source"

LMAO

For the average person who doesn't look into history much the crusades are the greatest catastrophe to befall the Islamic world.

Said no one ever.

You're strawmanning too hard, I understand many people don't know about the Mongol Invasion, but even they realize the Crusades went from a very limited success to a total failure in a century and couldn't have had any significant effect on the Muslims outside the small region.
