Life is good I feel strong only thing that worries me is uni but I will get it done eventually. We are all going to make it

Nope. But I love being able to focus on one big lift a day. Makes me feel like I can do heavier weight. Only doing this for 16 weeks total though, then I have a new routine I'll probably be going towards.

I've never been happier that I started lifting. Had it been even just a year ago I'd have just had to break her fall with my body. I'm making light of the situation but it's motivated her to start working out and eating right.

So I'm cooking all our meals together (just close to double what I make before) and we threw out all the shit food. Going to force her to gym with me, even when she doesn't want to. First couple of weeks if not 2-3 months will be the toughest, but as son as she sees results I think she'll pull through.

If anything I feel my triceps are getting too much work.

Started doing heavy cardio and lifting again after a year of laziness. After 3 weeks I have lost ~10 lbs.

Why so many reps? If I'm maxing bench for instance, I'll do 135x8
185x5
205x3
225x3
Then more weight for 3, then 2 then 1 and 1 and 1 till I hit it

its become a habit (feels likes it helped more with fatigue) and its easier to rep out heavier weights

i'll try lower reps and sets for tomorrow, see what happens

btw do you usually try to max or is it only when you feel good?

I only max out maybe once a bulk, so not very much. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year, but you do what you feel is best. I've tried keeping my usual rep ranges and I'm too fatigued by the time I reach my old max. I find 3 reps is enough to keep my muscles warm for the higher weights.
