How much does a 45 lb plate weigh after the holes are cut out?

the holes are pretty big on oly plates

the hole weighs 5lbs you dummy. so the pl8 is 30 lbs

>the shanty faggot town of OP

...

They ducking weigh the plate after the hole.

So it's still 45lb dumby

Oh shit this guy cracked the code

Holes are standard 15% of the total weight, unless you have some chinese brand plates

They add it to the bar weight, thats why you count the bar. You have to check the serial numbers to be sure the plates and bar match though.

you fill the holes with barbell, so it cancels

ok, we joke and all, but you don't count the bar, are you stupid?

Ha ok. So you're telling me a pl8 with no holes that says 45lbs is going to weigh the same as a pl8 with holes that says 45lbs. The delusion here is staggering

we dont count the bar because the plates already add it themselves

Just fix it yourself, all you need to do is write +10 lbs on the plate with a sharpie and you're all good

That's why you have to buy quality olympic barbells like Eleiko.

The barbells compensate for the missing weight.

If you put the plates on the magnets on the barbell compensate for the missing weight and add that extra 5 lbs that was cut from the whole of the barbell.

should I get digital or analog counting plates?

>magnets on the barbell
magnetizing the metal adds 10% of the weight/minute

this is why power lifters shouldn't lift for more than 10 minutes

Stop being stupid. The plate weighs less with hole cut out but the hole is filled in when you put it on the bar, so it goes back to being 45lbs

I take hybrids, they're pretty good tbx despite the memes
>inb4 I get called a shill

finally someone who understands physics, unlike the rest of these dumbfucks

I fucking hate you.

(45 / (pi * r^2)) * (pi * r^2 - Area of holes)

>tfw lifting in the southern hemisphere so i dont know how heavy my lifts are compared to americans

I know. Plus the exposure can lead to gyno and visceral gut fat.

Spot training can alleviate this though.

You're all incredibly unfunny.

It doesn't matter you idiot, because the sleeve of the barbell fills the hole so it is as if the plate never lost the hole weight. That is why barbells have sleeves.

You're supposed to let the plate soak in protein on the bar so the hole recovers onto the bar you idiot

>the moons gravity affects ur lifts more than the holes

>not lifting when the moon is on the opposite side of the planet for max gains
