So after watching our Fil smash 200kg I realized how most good benchers arch and I tried to do it myself.
I feel like I have a lot more arch than usual(it was decent anyway) and I feel a lot more solid even tho I used to have much more back touching the bench before.

Pressing power seems to be lower,could it be that it just takes some time to get used to it?

Completely anecdotal, but my pressing power is stronger when I don't arch. I arched for a year and it didn't improve and I was instantly stronger as soon as I stopped.

That's just me though.

Maybe, but for me the connection from better arch -> stronger setup -> more weight on the bar was pretty smooth. I mean, from a pure mechanical perspective (which I know is not perfect) a bigger arch provides a stronger position.

Whatever though, give it two weeks and I'd be surprised if you didn't like it.
