Why was there a big outrage when italy took ethiopia when france and britain occupied pretty much all of africa?

Why was there a big outrage when italy took ethiopia when france and britain occupied pretty much all of africa?

cause italy used poison gas and shit

There wasn't that big of an outrage, the British actually preferred the Italians being there because they stopped the slave raiders crossing the border into Sudan

Nigger the British had incited famines in India and supplied the Chinese with opium intentionally.

>nazis were ebil
>meanwhile you have half the world colonized and your allies exterminated all of their natives and segregated non whites

why are anglos such hypocrites?

If you create a stawman epitome of evil you have beaten you can fool the world that you're "the good guy".

Because the Italians invaded Ethiopia after they were a League of Nations member and largely accepted by the international community by the 1930s. France and other colonial powers obtained their colonies during the Scramble for Africa.
The British and French governments were more accomodating, but popular opinion in both countries was definitely against the occupation.

England colonizes half the globe? I don't care!
Italy conquers Ethiopia? It's beatdown! Time!

Because there was this thing called the League of Nations where everybody agreed not to do colonialism anymore while the existing colonial empires get to keep their shit and stop expanding/acquiring other people's colonies.

League of Nations you fucking imbecile.

niggers am I banned?

>We got all we wanted so no more war n'shiet, don't be expanding yourself or try to take our lands, OR ELSE YOUR AN WARMONGER!
Woah...
So this is how anglo imperialism works...

No, it's how international bodies where 2 members go to war works

>Hey, we're an international body of law, all past colonization doesn't count CUZ I SAY SO.

Well, would you think it was fair for any new laws to be applied retroactively?

Well, ‘cause all the members got together and said so. If anything, blame Wilson, he’s the one who wanted an international organisation and self-determination as it’s one of it’s principles.

how

The phuck, how are italians THIS BAD at war?

>Main machine gun is a total piece of shit with 20 round cartridges that need to be lubricated making them vulnerable to dust, has sights on the body and not the barrel so every new barrel needs to be re-sighted
>Other machine gun has the exact same lube problem except this time it puts the spent casing back into the stripper for absolutely no reason putting stress on the mechanism
>Tanks are basically hatchbacks with a machine gun
>Officers are incredibly retarded
>Pay is dogshit
Gee, I wonder why

Mussolini’s greatest mistake was trusting the eternal kra*t, italy would’ve been a super power today otherwise

And the existing colonial powers didn't expand to any more territories.
>CUZ WE SAID SO
Italy was a signatory.

Can't fight a war without bullets, fuel, and food. Italians had terrible supply and logistics.

That's less direct though

After WW1, there was a big effort to reduce colonialism and to grant more autonomy to those countries under rule.

League of hypocrites

League of Chads

Why should you punish your kids for shit you did when you were young?

>Italy joins the league of nations.
>Wants to do colonial shit despite everyone agreeing not to.
>HIPPACRISY!
Kinda like Japan twisting their panties at being told off not to do shit in China.

>Italy was a signatory.
But not Mussolini.

They got way better after the first six months, it's a shame their war records have been tainted by their general inadequacy during the first year of war and their greatest achievments get accredited to Rommel.

That's retarded, just because the government changed didn’t mean Italy wasn’t still the Kingdom of Italy, the same entity. And they only withdrew from the LN after the war ended.

to be fair, the ethiopians were using hollow point bullets

This also they were largely supplied by the brits and the frenchies so they had tons of them.

A more effective bullet does not warrant biological and chemical warfare

it´s a banned weapon anyway

>supplied the Chinese with opium intentionally
Worse than that, they declared war on them when the Chinese banned drugs.

>USA builds themselves thousands of nuclear missiles
>after one point say "okay that's enough nobody is allowed to build nukes from now on but we keep ours"
>except Israel because they're our masters
Same principle really

maybe because ethiopia was civilized and christian and shit

while french and anglos basically conquered savage tribes

although the anglos did subjugate the civilized boers so im not sure what their deal was

What's the big outrage though. Frowning upon Italy's actions?

>Why was there a big outrage
There wasn't, but the french commies used it as an excuse to chimp out.

Why not? Both are treaty infractions.
