UK anons how the fuck do you convert GBP to bitcoins?

It seems no site lets you convert GBP to Bitcoins without an exorbitant conversion fee (or not at all). How do UK anons convert GBP to Bitcoins? Do you guys just use Euros instead or am I missing something?

How much % does a SEPA transfer take?

UK bank account > Fidor > Bitstamp

Or

UK bank account > Transferwise > Ulster Bank (EUR) > Bitstamp

Don't use any account other than fidor or Ulster bank for the final hop, or you will be anally raped with fees and/or get your account closed

about £10-20 fee for my bank.

not much

from kraken to send back > £0.09 for normal
or ~£65 for 2 hour quick payment

localbitcoins.com

or

lykke wallet app

Wait. How do you get the reverse out?
Will bitstamp send back to your bank account via transferwise too?

Coinbase

SEPA bank transfer is a fixed fee of £9 from Halifax (not a percentage)

I've used coinfloor to do the reverse...
Also used bitstamp/EUR but that seems to take about 3% foreign exchange fee

Bank - GBP SEPA to Revolut - EUR SEPA to Fire - EUR SEPA to Kraken

Or you can pay into revolut directly from a debit/credit card

buy TENX card

never pull anything out of exchanges

spend BTC with card

Or use ATMs to get money out

M8, finally someone that know what is talking about

Do brits really have to pay sepa transfer fees?

>feelsbadman

i must have paid my bank ~£100 in total

once i sent GBP to kraken and that rekt me as well..

Is there no way around the fee? Like if you have Euros at hand, can you use that to directly deposit somehow?

Ive been looking into this and stumbled across Revolut. Is this legit ? ive not got into trading shitcoins yet

revolut.com/

Revolut is great. Cheap exchange, free transfers. I've heard some people transfer direct from revolut to exchanges but I use fire bank for that

send to coinbase in EUR

localbitcoin

Just use Coinbase... I know the fees are a joke but at the rate bitcoin is rising you'll lose out on more than 4% gains in the time it takes your sepa transfer to go through

At least you can also buy bitcoin on Coinbase using a credit card where you get cashback too because your bank doesn't know what Coinbase is

/biz is truly useless for uk fags

use coinfloor (minimum £1000 deposit, but cheapest fees across all other places for £)

thank me by sending me some eth, because you voted brexit and i still save your ass here
