Maintenance at a plastic manufacturer
My day consists of inhaling searing hot plastic fumes and going deaf from alarms and machinery.
Hospital pharmacist, just starting out. Schedule is nice, I do 4 10-hour days so I get 3-day weekends every weekend. Can't argue with the pay and benefits either. Location is pretty shit since I'm a fresh graduate, need experience to get a job anywhere that isn't in the middle of nowhere.

Homocide detective.
More paperwork and time in the office than I care to admit. But I use to be a chef for 6 years, 3 or those as the exec chef. Some days I miss that but most days I'm glad I made the career change at 24.
>homocide
Makes sense you'd start your search on Veeky Forums

Nursing Assistant
I'll be in your position in a year or two.
Put people through exercises, use modality shit to make them feel better. Really easy but I don't like the owners much, they overbook and underpay is so they can just make more money at our expense. Would recommend to fit because you will learn bunch of useful stuff for technique and get free PT from therapists
admin higher ed.

Software engineer
Good money but all the sitting is going to fucking kill me and I come home every day with no mental energy left
not sure how lax your company is, but I try to come in early, lift at lunch and come home early. time flies and i feel great desu. just have to get in bed early.
You know that the things they have you do there is illegal right?
I learned that in my own course of looking at those jobs and doing some internships. Having unlicensed "PT aides/techs" at outpatient clinics who they have running exercise programs and doing modalities (so they can see more patients and make more money) is technically illegal
I'm this bros counterpart. I do expert testimony and financial analysis for wall street finance firms that are getting sued or those that are suing them.
Literally wasted my college years and work at McWage
My only solace is being Veeky Forums and banging the various barely legal chicks around my workplace because every other male in my work is either a mouthbreather, straight retarded or disgustingly poor hygiene, sometimes all three so I'm the only real choice they have.
I wish I could go university but I'm a major poorfag and chose retard degrees in community college.
NASA Engineer (no bullshit)
Code and write documents.
unemployed with a bachelor's in psychology for 1.5 years wew
u.s. army
good steady minimum wage income, spend none of it, all my energy goes to lifting and eating.
Why did you think that would be a good idea?
thought psychology was what i wanted to study in high school
into my sophomore year at college it was too late to switch majors, just rolled with it
turned out that the degree is useless without pursuing a master's, didn't know this at all going into it and wish i had
was gonna pursue master's, disillusioned by it and studying and getting shitty GRE scores, decided i wanted to try writing shit instead. researched journalism extensively, nearly enrolled in a program but it was too small and too risky and too expensive.
pretty much stagnating at home with my dad and sister, not working and not researching a career because i don't know what's best. idk man nothing seems to be clear in which path i should try to take
I work in digital marketing. Lots of qts
How old are you? I pulled out of my first degree halfway through 3rd year and started something else. It's never too late.
But jesus you should've known that about psych. It's a fucking retarded course.

hey bro I just started my PhD in that area, mostly looking at dynamic graph algorithms and parametrized complexity theory for the last few months. I rather like it.
What's your specific area of interest? What are you teaching? I'll teach a couple of lectures in December, topics are amortized analysis and distributed graph algorithms.
I sell frozen food at phone
Software engineer, in the automotive industry, so I work on self-driving cars.
Actually, I implement communication protocols like CAN and TCP/IP/Ethernet that are in turn used for autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance functions (autonomous valet parking), but it's hard too hard to explain that to most people.
still at school
I'm studying mech eng, and planning to join my country's army as a reservist. Hopefully as an infantry officer like you. I figure it'll be a decent job as a student...am I making a bad move, user?
Currently working part time at a KFC, AND a fancy restaurant. Only thing is, they don't know about each other, since I only just got the latter job. I dunno what to do, brehs. KFC is comfy as fuck, but only give me a shift a week, despite being willing to employ me for ages. Restaurant is only for a few months, but give me 4 times the shifts, but neither job tells me my shifts until that week.
Decent chance I'm gonna end up at maccas in a few months, since I'm most likely gonna quit a 3 year KFC career, enjoy my new job for 3 months, then get kicked out and go to maccas for management training.
Just how comfy is it? Do you recommend?
