has there been a bigger JUST than rome 2?
I don’t think I can point to a sequel that was more inferior in every possible way than Rome II.

IMPERATOR?
I played Barbarian invasion and revived the WRE.
Extremely satisfying.
In game, you had to sack most of your large cities and exterminate the urban poor in order to reduce the burden on the treasury and maintain public order.
And you also need to do it before large Barbarian armies show up and start attacking your cities because without internal stability you can't field armies capable of defending the Empire.
Playing the saxons was cool as well.
Do you have more than 3 hours in the game?
It even has more seasons
ready and EAGER
WARBAND
VOULOME
I know
>Take over easy targets in area
>Build up a large army to take on the WRE
>They're giant pussies with no army and sue for peace immediately
Lmao looks like we've rustled a bugman
EH Ti Me
>Not playing medieval two and desperately fighting off Timur's AT-AT armies from the west.
Buggy pos never worked right.
>elephants
well ok this seems like a chall-
>they have cannons on top of them
Am I stupid? I still don´t see seasons
Cannons with more range, accuracy, and a faster reload time than yours do. Hence AT-AT's.
ANOTHER KRAKEN
POSEIDON'S WRATH IS CLEAR
ARKANTOS......AWAKEN!
I never really had trouble with Timur. By the time he showed up, I almost always had near infinite wealth and manpower. Plus, he would usually attack one of the well defended cities in what's now Iraq or Eastern Turkey and lose 70% of his army in one go on those assaults since the AI is stupid about city attacks.
The Mongols were WAY worse.
The sprout right in the corner is the season, next to the year.
In the other user's pic the season is autumn, and the icon is a bowl or something
Ah ok, I see it
Is this a mod? I remember when I first played it there was one year per round and no seasons
No it came with the emperor edition i think. It's still 1 turn a year i think, but every year has a season.
Makes sense, I stupidly preordered it and quit after one or two hours. Isn´t that pretty random then?
Taxeis!
Lochos, kata tachos!

DEUS ABSCONDITUS
Why is attila so fucking bad. I just want to expand rome not deal with literally getting worse buildings as my tech "improves" while I get public order and sanitation memes because of 'building slots' that are badly designed for attila. Literally no conquering in attila if you play rome. Ancient empires fucking when jesus christ
Do you know if there are RTW mods for that type of stuff?
RTW has just the right amount of autism
There's only like two mods that are worth bothering for RTW that I know of. One being EB, the other being (from what I've heard) Roma Surrectum though I haven't tried it. I'm just trying to wait for Ancient Empires for attila to give me what I want from attila for the most part. If that's a bust then this is the worst (historical) total war that I've bought easily
>Always believed Timurs elephant cannons were real
>It actually wasn't
why is Veeky Forumstory so fucking boring...
>tfw you have just survived mongol invasion + black death as byzantines and now Timur is invading
FOR THE CITY
>not liking rtw for the character traits.
What did influence do again?
HOPLITAI!
Improves public order and gives the character a higher chance to move up in the senate
Proseche? Malista.
UIRRRR?
EURROOO!
>recruit a general in Victoria 2 while playing as Japan
>his trait is "Yellow"
How many books about Rome did this game cause you to read? Nothing has ever triggered my autism so hard

OUR HORSES LOVE BLOOD
i think there's one that makes r2 have the general speeches before the battles like r1, dont remember the name tho
I miss pre fantasy /twg/

HOPE YOU KISSED YOUR WIVES GOODBYE
Oh no it's not babys blobbing simulator.
H-How do I increase my influence int he senate in Rome II?
Promote your chosen house guys.
its hard to imagine actual towers being build and rolled up to the walls for some reason
THANK YOU
The traits just gave something to someone that should have it.
It's makes it more "romantic"
I remember one character having the title "The Lewd", was amusing desu.

>idgaf
>make a beeline for Ireland
>my army is half dead and I'm pissing everyone off by trespassing in their territory
>finally arrive
>take the Ebdani by complete surprise
>conquer the emerald isle as a bunch of Yemeni Jews wearing metal masks
Who /autism/ here?
Any opinions on Divide Et Impera?
Goodstuff. The bonus for AI majors does get a bit annoying as it makes their expansion be very predictable and similar each game.
>Be me
>running down and slaughtering some barely-armed peasant rebels.
>"ALL ROME WILL BE AMAZED AT SUCH A VICTORY! THE DAY IS OURS!!!"
Was it sarcasm?
>not throwing a triumph after killing peasants who revolted because some gauls raided them
