I think it varies a lot depending on the individual's sex drive. Some women I've known definitely had sex drives like men, while I know others who rarely have sex and prefer it that way. I think maybe it has to do with how much testosterone they have, so fit women probably need more sex. But they aren't driven by it because they can please themselves, while for men masturbating just isn't as good.
