I've found out that music that's supposed to pump you up like metal or powerviolence does nothing for me, while soft emo stuff like this helped me gain all of my lifts up. Maybe the feels are truly the heaviest things we lift and carry.

Absolute GOAT gym music
RIP is my all time favorite album, but it's no good for lifting since the Original mix doesn't go loud enough and the Remaster is hot garbage
Try this app called mp3gain so you can raise the volume of the songs
>lifting to american football
and here i thought i was weird
I've lost count of how many extra reps this song has helped me squeeze out
>dat fuken prechorus

My nigga. Curse of Feanor and mirror mirror have guided me through so many PRs.
The album is absolutely GOAT, infinitely better if you've read the Silmarillion a couple times
youtu.be
Listen to it on x1.25 speed
I hasn't listened to World Under Blood in ages, then put it on during today's workout on a whim. This track, A God Among the Waste, and I Can't Stand His Name are pretty great for lifting. The album is a tight 45 some minutes, which is perfect.

This is as far as i go with metal, halo+star wars tracks and a runescape classic tracks is what i get off to.
I pretend im a warrior type in the gym, i rip my deadlifts with the force of lightning.
Does anyone have a torrent/zip/rar/whatever that I can download of running music?
I have a smartwatch for christmas, so I'd prefer to run with just that, and not need my phone. But obviously, need to download the music to the watch!
Every time threads like these are posted, no one listens to anything but generic heavy metal. Why don't you guys explore some subgenres goddamit? There are some fucking GOAT gems hidden there.

Rust is legendary, Five Magics is my personal favorite.
Amon Amarth, Lamb of God, Hate breed, Suicidal Tendencies, Killswitch Engage, Derhklok, are my in library at all times.
matt's voice was never the same after this album
I got you senpai
Not even lying. I fucking love TSO.

I just picture a bunch of folks, mostly kids, walking through a snowy town center, where folks are walking around with presents and gifts, and bakers are handing out free samples of pie and candies, and the children are playing, and everyone is happy and smiling.
Tell me you don't PR to that shit.
American Football is perfect for the gym, cuz everyone feeeeels juuust liiike yoooouuuuu...
>2013+4
>not lifting to jazz
Holy shit, I need this for cardio. What's more like this?
I recently discovered sabaton's latest.

Anyone find that they go through phases on like a weekly phase? Maybe I'm wierd, was lifting to classical and then to house and now I've circled back to a metal mood.
get better headphones
>Current Year
>Not weeb lifting

Good shit bro, love Soilwork.
Saw this band live, pretty dope too. I dig their stuff.
my nigga, I love soilwork.
If WoW did anything good to me was help me develop some sick music tastes i carry to today from the old school pvp videos.
>ctrl+f
>no ulcerate

ayyyy excellent taste guy
I used to love Sabaton but then I realized virtually all their songs are the same.
>Find some historical battle
>Start off slow and a little ominous as if its all starting
>Make most of the lyrics about how God Jesus or Odin were on the side of the victors
>Lots of nationalistic lyrics usually Germans or Nords are good guys and too fucking awesome for this world
>Repeat first chorus
>Add a couple lines about some key interesting quotation a general gave during or after the battle to finish the song and riff on that
>Dadadada da da ROAR
Yes I realize not every song of theirs is literally about a battle in history but sometimes it feels like it.
Also that is originally a Amon Amarth song. They hate Christianity and are like those dudes from /pol/ who say kike on a stick and try to get you to believe in Paganism.
So metal is too right wing for you?

>Not even lying. I fucking love TSO.
Try Savatage user. Most of the core of TSO was formed form the members of Savatage after they disbanded when their guitarist died.
>They hate Christianity and are like those dudes from /pol/ who say kike on a stick and try to get you to believe in Paganism.
You know how I can tell you're retarded?
Until Prisoner of your Eyes comes on and I need to change the track before I cry
I think ive broken more PRs to this song than any other

AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN
No Finntroll? Shameful Veeky Forums

WALLS OF JERICHO

Did Cynic a couple of weeks back paired with Athiest.
Nothing wrong with straight up rock/metal though. Ghost has been my latest guilty pleasure, and it's been getting me to go back and listen to more Sabbath. Plus it pisses off the stick-up-the-ass christians at work who don't have a sense of humor nor have heard of Slayer
who DOOM METAL here
youtube.com
fucking love Powerwolf
youtube.com
Literally this
youtube.com
it builds up
>French weebs make the best lifting music of all time
Who would have guessed?
its just generic post hardcore
If you listen to anything other than EDM/house music while lifting you are a virgin.
meh overated
When I work out at home, I look out into the woods and listen to the soundtrack to the film Sicario, and pretend I'm preparing for the end of the world. Throw as many fedoras and katanas at me as you wish, but there's something so horrifyingly primal about it that makes me go far beyond my normal limits.
Not that I'm wishing for the end of the world, or anything.
that 17th track
>soccer game
jesus christ that's fucking frightening, i've gotta see this film
movie's fucking intense
>2017
>Still lifting to music and not lifting to Hugh Mungus
