Which squat style do you choose? - High-bar ATG, and low-bar parallel

Which one do you choose?

High bar ATG
> Honourable
> Used by clean, tested Olympic athletes
> Used to obtain glory for nation
> Used by men who are cut and muscular
> Actual useful movement (Better shits, can rest without chair)

Low-bar parallel "squat" (ie. botched good mornings)
> Dishonourable
> Used by fringe fatties on horse steroids
> Used for 5 seconds of instagram fame, when fellow fatties comment how strong you are
> Used by "men" who are on perma-bulk, cannot be diffrentiated from the obeast.
> Useful to bounce your belly off your thighs to lift more

Also, there are no other squat style. No point doing ATG lowbar, stupid if you want to lift more weight. "Parallel" high-bar is a joke, more like 45 degree knee bends. If I wanted a joke, I'd ask you for your squat form.

i started lifting before the internet was a thing and just naturally squatted that way before even knowing there was such a thing as high-bar vs low-bar.

ATG or not? Non-ATG is counted as a 0 rep. Non-ATG squats are the kipping of squats.

Low bar is fucking retarded ego lifting, like sumo deadlifts and super arch bench.

Why would you do high bar skwats if you don't compete in olympic lifting? Even then, front squats are a better option.

I do a mix of high bar and front. Low bar feels uncomfortable to me, could be my body measurements or something.

haven't been squatting long, only recently hit 70kg and have been doing low bar. My natural squat depth is basically ATG and i've only realized recently i can't maintain proper form at that depth with low bar

would switching to high bar help w/ this or should i stick w/ low bar and try my best to not go ATG

i usually squat high bar, but i've been fucking around with low bar here recently. lowbar feels like a more mechanically advantageous good morning, which feels great for my deadlift. i feel like you can incorporate high bar and low bar equally in your training and benefit from both. i'm currently squatting high, low and front sort of off and on while i work up my low bar. i want to eventually replace high bar with low and supplement with fronts.

squatting in general feels great, though, no matter your bar placement.

I usually do low bar ATG and recently I have found that I take a 2 second pause before coming back up from the squat, is this bad?

Try stretching by maintaining ATG position without bar for 30 seconds.

Thanks lads, I thought I was fucking up by pausing when I went down.

I actually pulled some tendon or something because I was trying to squat fast like everyone else the second week I was lifting, I fixed my form and it's been much slower but I haven't hurt myself since so it's all good I hope.

Fast squats will kill you.
