So my aesthetics are starting to come in and looking for an alpha haircut to compliment my body.
I'm sort of looking for something like pic related: short on the sides, long at the top (minus the hard part).
Any suggestions and how to ask the barber for it (like lengths, instructions for cutting, etc)?

Buzzcut if you're losing your hairline or have a nicely shaped skull, undercut or skin fade if you want to keep some hair about. Depends if you want a gradual increase or stark ending to the hair on top.
