I find it similar to the people who say studying is "fun", it feels forced. i mean i lift and study and i don't do it just out of discipline, it is a factor but it's definitely not the main thing that keeps me going.

Squats are hell for me, I just feel totally exhausted and lightheaded after them, and not in a good way.

Bench will always be my favorite because it feels like you're putting all of your upper body strength into getting the weight off of you. I know deadlift is theoretically the same thing but for back, but it doesn't feel as good.

Some do, some don't. It's just like everything else in life, some people actual enjoy those burger-flipping jobs, other are just doing them to get by. I personally love working out, it gives me a thrill to overcome adversity in the form of heavy weights, kinda like how I enjoy playing dark souls games. However I can definitely see how people come to think of it as a chore to do to achieve what they actually want. Personally, I think it's about the journey, not the destination.

Can Push Press help with getting minor OHP gains in any way?

This seems a little bit backwards to me. Wouldn't the main benefit from DB ohp be that it's a more difficult lift and requires the most stabilization. I've done it, and I'm amazed how difficult it is. But wouldn't doing it seated negate some of that benefit?

I think so, I just like it more because with a barbell it just doesnt feel right, though I do the exercise with good form.
With dumbbells I feel like its way easier on my joints and I can concentrate more on hitting my delts.
Doing like 38kgs ~80lbs for 5-7 reps with dumbbells each side.
