CBT lifting 1 year or less edition

basically just curious about other peoples lifts and progress who've been training as long as me.

Been lifting for 8 - 9 months from skinnyfat no muscle ( I started by benching the bar lol )

5'10
183 lbs
20% bf.

bench 1rm = 204lbs
ohp 10rm = 132lbs
dl 1rm = 319lbs ( I rarely do deadlifts )
squat = N/A I don't squat

thats a lot of progress for 8-9 months, what program you on
Also, me today

Just brosplit with some strength training inbetween.

Looking good so far m8

6 months of lifting

These aren't 1RM, just the weight I do 4 sets for 12 reps with

Bench - 95 (couldn't even bench the bar when I started)
Squat - 125 (Could barely squat the bar when I started)
Deadlift - 135 (Started deadlifting only a few weeks ago. Started on 135 the first day).

I look considerably different from when I first started but I don't feel strong at all

thanks i'm actually 20% bf ( I have a weight that calcs it ) due to bad diet but i've started eating better.
how long have you been lifting? you look great man

stats? mirin if over 6'

>want to participate
>have gotten flabby during my bulk

i'm op and i'm 20% bf. Haven't even got abs if I flex them. you're welcome here

>I look considerably different from when I first started but I don't feel strong at all

That's because you aren't.

But you're making progress. Just keep at it and you'll make it user

Progress is progress. What's your weight and height and are you eating enough? You'd be surprised how much stronger you get if you eat a fuckton

This is my deadlift progress in kgs, fuck I love linear progression and noob gains

I might after work. Bulking sucks for this reason.

Actually only about a year user
Been running PPL it's working great
Haha actually 5'8 but thanks

Squat

If you wan't my routine I can send it to you

>all these new lifters doing PPL and brosplits
>mfw they look better than me

ran SL for six months, for 5 reps

diddly 135 to 330
squat 75 to 290
bench 45 to 170
ohp 45 to 115

ate too much so now I'm working on not being a fatass

Who's to say I didn't do a strength routine earlier on

6'0 157

Started at 6'0 135 though. And yeah I eat a lot of food, WAY more than I used to.

280 squat
120 bench
308 deadlift

about 3-4 months into ss

holy shit that's an impressive dl. what's with the bench though?

9 months on a really slow bulk. 135/180/250/340 5rm

Idk if you think I look good but im doing 3day full body beginner split

op here

I did the same. Watched a rich piana video on how to get HOOGE and went out and bought a mass gainer. fucked me up
That dl and squat is amazing

Front squat: 225x3
Bench: 185x1
Deadlift: 335x1
OHP: 105x8

First time doing these lifts: 2012

You read that right

Kill me

(muh ACL/meniscus tears, muh depression, muh 6 months working on a farm)

Want to know what the biggest joke is? I'm an exercise science major about to intern at a strongman gym. I'm gonna lie and say I've been lifting for a year

bodyweight 170 height 5'9

Is it? I think my squat is my best lift relatively.

Yeah my bench sucks, not really sure how to incorporate more of it in SS, but I really need to focus on it more.

Are you centaur mode? Are your thighs/legs disproportionate to your chest/upper body?

Around 8 months, no tracking macros or calories

My legs are getting pretty frigging big, yeah.

5 months

highest 5rms
bench 65 -> 140
ohp 50 -> 110
squat 95 -> 220
dl 115 -> 235

i look like shit but I don't care too much

cant get a pic right now but
diddly 350
bench 150
squat 225
ohp 110

I won't post current body because I'm an atrocious recovering fatty but these are my lifts after the past year:

Ohp: 110 @ 5x5
Bench: 165 @ 3x5
Squat: 195 @ 5x5
Deadlift: 235 @ 1x5

I could probably be squatting and deadlifting more, but I have awful hip mobility and tight ass hamstrings so I'd rather not fuck my shit up.

he's 5'7.5" don't lie

don't worry man, lift heavy and responsibly, in that order

2 months SL 5x5, started with the bar
Boxing/muay thai background
155 lb 5'7''

only started lifting late October / early November

>sub 3 plate
>impressive
HOLY SHIT THIS IS Veeky Forums NOW

Lifting for 4 months.

5'10.5
168 LBS
Bf % 15

My weight has gone from 210---> 168 in those 4 months, I have been suicide cutting the entire time.

There is 3 months in between these photos, and the weight is 193--->168.

I started obese, never played a sport ever, or been in a gym.

I was so weak, I couldn't keep my fucking posture straight for more than 5 minutes. Couldn't even flex most muscles in my body, like I couldn't flex my lower back etc etc.

Bench 1 RM= I don't care about strength
OHP= I don't care about strength
DL 1rm= I don't care about strength
Squat 1 rm= I don't care about strength.

haha it's almost like hypertrophy work and splits makes you look better and SS/SL doesn't do shit except make you stronger?

ALmost like the routines with "STRENGTH" in them are designed to make you STRONGER?

Crazy isn't it?

mate this is a thread for newbies. Let us cherish our accomplishments.

Gj! I would dip just below 160 and then think about adding cals back in.

Pretty much exactly a year now.
working sets 3x5:
bench 80-180
squat 100-210
ohp 60-135
deadlift 135-290

Bodyweight: 145-158lbs

yep
I am exactly looking for 160 to bulk

thanks man, am trying.

excited to lean bulk, add some muscle on this fucking dyel frame of mine

Nice sounds like a good plan. Come on man you're not dyel don't let them warp your mind there's obviously a little muscle on you.

Nice progress. Squat's lagging

9 months
132 lbs
b: 143x5
dl: 276x2
The Press: 100x6
what you guys think?

flexed

>not having body dysmorphia

It's like you don't even WANT to make progress.

I do man mental progress is progress

I want a beautiful healthy natty body and not give in to the dark side. The roid call is strong but it's not really what I want

7 months

This was me at shy of 1 year

Was 385/305/500 at this time

...

jeez bro. looking like zyzz! Keep it up!

samefag

No, I think he was being sarcastic because I"m not concerned with my bf% right now.

kill yourself idiot.

he mainted the same body fat % while adding 15 lbs of muscle.

15 lbs of muscle is GREAT for 1 year faggot.

I would cut for sure bro

I feel like I'm not big enough to cut yet.
pic related my arms are very small for some reason,

You're like 10% bf no need to cut. Mirin' lats bro!

5 months from sedentary lifestyle.

28 years old

looking good but why are there white dots on your nipple?

At what point would you say that the strength gained from a strength program is enough to where it makes sense to go to a brosplit so that you both look good and are strong?

Those are hair follicles, they're more obvious on white people.

>I feel like I'm not big enough to cut yet

U know what, I wrote a big reply about hormone levels and quality of your gains but then I realized 'what am I doing with my life' and deleted it.

here u go, good advice for you:

bro, I would do a SLOW lean, controlled bulk with your body..

You don't wanna be a tiny twink man.

Just fucking eat a surplus, but it's fine, because you're gonna WEIGH the food out, so it's bodybuilding, it's training.

You gotta have a STRENGTH BASE and you don't have enough muscle to cut...

Remember dude, IIFYM.

You can eat ice cream and mcdonalds, just hit your macros, and get enough calories.

You can make GREAT gains on fucking mcdonalds and shit. GREAT.

Every natural bodybuilder that looks good without steroids says they IIFYM. This means you eat whatever, ice cream, mcdonalds, just get the right macros!

Ignore those little twinks, they just wish they had 19" guns like we do.

Uh, more advice

Cardio has NO effect on physique. At all. you don't need to do it. Period.

Size=Strength, if you wanna look big, you gotta lift big weights, man, if you can lift a lot, for sure you will look super aesthetic, not like there is any guy out there that lifts a lot and doesn't look good.

Highly recommend starting strength + godmad to you

probaally do the strength program forever, size=strength duh, you'll look REALLY good doing a strength program

start drinking a GOMAD too

>do strength program and GOMAD
>for aesthetics

Awful advice. Stop posting.

What do you do? you seriously have the exact results i want.

I don't understand your post at all, I quite clearly gained weight already and I'm up to almost a 4 plate deadlift and 2.5 plate squat in 7 months

Is this trolling? Just bad advice?

???
Why are people being mean to me? I don't think I posted any sort of ridiculous results, just a beginner bulking..

I actually think you look great. You have very very good mid-body genetics, with that thin waist and then the thick legs/abductors. Try to push your bench and throw in some dips to increase your mobility and fill out your chest :)

2 years lifting, 5'10 158 lbs, P/P/L routine, from 115 skinny fat to this. need some advice on what to do next. cant seem to burn this fat off my stomach no matter what i do. halp

bad advice? no?

It's like you said? You wanna keep bulking, I told you why to bulk?

>You don't wanna be a tiny twink man.
>bro, I would do a SLOW lean, controlled bulk with your body..

You're 100% right. You don't have enough size to cut. Keep bulking.

In fact, I would say, bulk harder, eat more. You wanna get big or not?

>stop posting

I'm trying to make people BIG and aesthetic and you are just crab in bucket

my methods work.

45 mins in the gym, 3 times a week (SS), eat mcdonalds, you will look GREAT.

don't do cardio or anything jsut make sure u eat enough mcondalds to get enough calories

it's a meme you dip!

Bro, bro, I would say BULK. You will get a lot of muscle on your body and that will make you less fat (duh).

Get off PPL, you gotta get on Starting Strength.

Starting strength and a galon of milk a day, time to bulk for sure with your body

I would stop doing cardio if you are doing it it's killing all ur gains man.

Make sure you get enough mcdonalds/IIFYM nutrition to add enough muscle too

2 months heavy eating/light but frequent lifting

I wonder who could be behind these posts

you have insane genetics bro not even joking.

Lost 100lbs don't really lift or care anymore since I scored a girlfriend. Rate no hate

Lifting for exactly one year today. Started out at as a 130 pound skinny fat turbo manlet.

Current stats:
Weight: 165 lbs
Bench: 210x5
Squat: 300x5
Ohp: 120x5
Diddly: dont do

that is the kind of advice i was looking for, thanks a lot! agree with everything, but why do you think i need to increase mobility?
