Not sure if it's a placebo but after taking D3 lately I've felt good as fuck. Horny, energentic, lively, more alert, and more willing to get shit done. Has anyone on Veeky Forums had a deficiency then fixed it? Did it feel like this?

I'm not really sure but all of the doctors who do their own research seem to come to the conclusion that the current RDA is a joke.

upping my dosage currently.. took 10,000iu yestrday 15,000iu today.. i dont feel worse but if i feel anything yet but gonna keep upping my dose til i get to 100,000iu like that guy in the amazon link i posted

What was your deficiency at? I'm on a once a week vitamin d, daily b-12 and I was on iron for my anemia but since that's proving that I am unable to absorb iron from supplements I'm going in for an infusion next week.

Mine vit d level was at 12.

I got mine from prescription due to bloodwork results. I thought it was my immune suppressant causing hair loss but it was the lack of vitamin absorption caused by Crohn's.

I doubled my vit d ml/l by taking 12k iu daily for a month. Most obvious effect is being less tired. its not really something that would make you energetic but perhaps more alert, yeah. Feeling good from not being tired as fuck may be the thing making you more willing to get shit done and horny. So whatever works i guess

Vit D helps take calcium from the gut to blood and Vit K helps to direct calcium away from soft tissues while directing it to the bone.

Take your vit D with vit K especially when you are supplementing with calcium too.

I take 5k/daily. Tried 10k once and it gave me bad headaches. Blood test showed I was extremely deficient as well so not sure why 10k did that to me.

I've heard 10,000 is the max one should take, and that's not meant for extended periods of time either. If starting from a deficiency, I would take 5k a day for a month or two to bring things up, then cruise on 2-2.5k IU/d

This, I was actually one of those people who had to take a 50k ui Vitamin D pill and it was only once a week.

I've read that a majority of Americans are vitamin D deficient, especially people in colder climates. The only dietary sources are basically fish, milk, eggs, and anything fortified like children's cereal.
