Is Islam the opposite of Christianity?

Islam is fanfiction

no, that's just the Hadith

Abrahamism is like a classic trilogy

>first installment(judaism) lasts longest on its own, stays relatively simple and gains cult following
>second installment(christianity) improves upon everything, gains mass hype and becomes looked back on as the best one
>third installment(islam) becomes way edgier out of nowhere and shifts themes greatly in an attempt to be more similar to the first installment but ends up just being a shitty fanfiction, still gains a big following since its 6/10 aesthetically

surprisingly accurate

Modern christianity yes. Legit biblical teaching is pretty similar.
Kill fags and unbelievers, smash degeneracy and idols etc.

No. Judaism arguably is though.

>read the Gospels because I have been told it is full of profound moral teachings and the basis of modern civilization
>they're all about homeless, communist dude telling everyone to stop going to work because the World is about to end and he's going to kill eveyone that doesn't follow him by tossing them into a lake of fire.

Well, okay, then.

>judaism
>the opposite of messianic judaism

Islam is Christianity

That's not a biased opinion at all, good for you.

>They share major teological principles and texts
>Opposite
You know that words have meaning, right?

In most trilogies, the first is the best.

>A New Hope
>Fellowship of the ring
>best in the trilogy

Unrelated but is anyone tired of the "Allah is the same as the Christian God" meme? Because he is clearly not the same God

Yeah it's pretty obvious that Jews have the Father, christians the Son and muslims the Holy Spirit.
What do you thought the Trinity was for?

Christianity was over time developed as both a reflection and an antithesis to Judaism. Islam was developed early on the same way, but focused on adopting and supplanting Judaic revelation rather than prophesy like Christianity. So Islam is not the opposite of Christianity, but some elements of it are opposite because of their different approach and attitudes towards Judaism.

Yeah man. And petecostals get the God part of jesus and catholics get the human part

Episode 1: The Desert Merchant
Episode 2: Attack of the Pharises
Episode 3: Revenge of the Deity

Islam wasn't way edgier at all though. Everything about it was a softball compromise that the previous two, more edgy iterations refused to budge on.

>Allah is the same as the Christian God" meme? Because he is clearly not the same God
You do know that arab christians use the word allah because it literally is only God translated?

No, Islam is in the middle.

Judaism on one side (extremely materialistic, cares only about laws and this life)
Christianity is on the other side (extremely spiritual, you can't even practice it, does not care about law)

He's not talking about translation, he's talking about the Gods they worship. Islamists do not worship a trinity like Christians do, so it cannot be the same God.
