Sup Veeky Forums overlords, i am building a home gym and i am thinking how the fuck will i secure myself while press-benching if i fuck up something. I am a beginner so i dont know too much what is too heavy and what not for me. Is there a special bench or something that could help be not die and break my ribcage when solo at the gym?

Power rack

There was a kickstarter project for a bench you could kick a lever and the bench would drop and the rack bars would catch the weight. It was crazy expensive. Would like to make one myself like that though.

power cage and barbell or get oly dumbells

No get a power rack because its safe which is what op wants.
