Rear delt flies are useless

Do you even know where the fuck your rear delts are?
No, of course you don’t.

The fact is, unless you’re really pushing to compete, you’ll just be wasting your time on rear delt flies.

Instead concentrate on big shoulder exercises like the military press, dumbbell press and barbell shrug.

>shrugs
>shoulders

*grabs your face and force it to my ass*
*BRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP*

uh ive been doin cable flies instead hits them way better.

>rear delts are useless

Fascinating

>you should only work your anterior and lateral deltoids
>posterior deltoids are for competition only
Post pic of your posture. I've got a hunch you hunch.

rear delts are upper chest of delts, how do i hit them hard?

You're a huge faggot

Rear delt work is the most important thing you can do for shoulder health

KYS

>Shrugs

Seriously KYS

Then how come when I do heavy pressing and ignore rear delt work I get anterior shoulder pain?

I do bent over flys or facepulls every time I press now, or risk tedonitis.

LOOOL

Shoulder press works all three heads of the deltoid

>this pic says it so it must be true

>powerlifters actually believe this

One does only need 4 exercises for the upper body.

>Horizontal push/pull
Bench press
Pendlay row

>Vertical push/pull
The Press
Chin-ups

These 4 exercises hits every single muscle on the chest, shoulders, back and arms.
Every other exercise is just a waste of time, unless you're an advanced lifter.

Reverse cable flies. It's a meme workout but God am I sore the day after

>Do you even know where the fuck your rear delts are?
Yes. some of us have been working out for longer than a month. Kindly fuck off.

do some face pulls /thread

what do you think about dumbbell front raise for shoulders?

lateral raise is better

I often do behind the back pulls on a smith machine. Idk what the right name is for them. I love them and have been doing them for years. Does anyone else here do these?? They hit my rear delts in a way I like.

Example I found:
youtube.com/watch?v=gRlcNWdxr5M

I also do the crossed-cable rear flys and that seems to work them good, but I do both of these after I have done heavier rows/pulls.

>lateral raise
nah, feels uncomfortable

great idea, train the anterior deltoid even harder and neglect medial and rear delts

moron

wow this

bait

mostly stupid because you are already hitting your front delts hard with any pressing variation

just by training chest and triceps you have already stimulated front delts

stimulate your medial and rear delts instead

i guess if your anterior delts are really lacking (i have never, ever seen this happen) you can do them
it serves a totally different purpose

Any serious powerlifter knows that your rear delts are essential for upper back development which helps in your bench.

actual real life powerlifters don't believe this nonsense

newfags who read starting strength and fell into the cult of compounds-only and wear their 13 inch arms like a badge of honor believe this

Deadlift, front squat, power clean and chins are more than enough for the upper back

See how the rear delt inserts with the tricep? Your arms will look stupid if you don't have rear delts.

>current year
>not doing some kind of rear delt work for shoulder health

It's almost like you're posting on a rippletoad shill forum

>muh compounds
>muh 3x5

Why stop at rear delts? Don't train back at all since you can't see it, right? Arms and chest only!
True bro!

I don't have the right image to show how hard I'm laughing but I wish I did

Face pulls are GOAT rear delt exercise

Is this safe? Now I'm curious

Decent enough?
