Holy fucking shit. I'm 160. I looked at what I normally eat and i'm lucky if I get 50g daily.

How/what do you eat to get 160g of protein?
It seems like you would have to eat an insane amount of food.

That is a bit of a exaggeration.
Get at least 120.
Have like 2-3 shakes of whey.
Some chicken or steak for dinner and beans for lunch.
That will get you around 160 depending on portion sizes

The sticky is so outdated and full of broscience and no one even questions it.You need like 0.8 or even 0.7g of protein per pound actually.Maybe a bit more when cutting

>Some chicken or steak for dinner and beans for lunch.
That is exactly what I eat though.
>breakfast
>breakfast burrito 13g
>lunch
>can of great northern beans and rice 10~g
>dinner
>chicken/steak with rice/pasta 20~g

So I take it protein shakes are mandatory.
What's up with whey? What's wrong with just normal (not the special blend stuff) protein powder?

>0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight
>kilogram of body weight
>kilogram

"The Institute of Medicine's protein RDAs are calculated using 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. This means an adult who weighs 68 kilograms needs at least 54 grams of protein each day."

> normal protein powder

you mean whey

>mfw lately had 300g protein, not even on purpose
Step up yo game bruv
Eat meat, get some whey, cheat with some McD's during bulks and you're fine

>kilogram
The fuck is a kilogram?
This is an American Japanese image board.
Whats that in pounds?

> the american education system at work

1kg = 2.2pounds
so just multiply or divide as necessary

only 40% of the boards users are american but you fatfucks still want special treatment

Nigger what are you doing. You will fuck up your kidneys big time.

Dam. Tripps of truth. I can't argue with those digits.

whey is normal, and it is not mandatory, it is mostly consumed as a convenience but it is an expensive way to get protein.
You can easily get the amount you want from sunflower seeds, chicken, eggs, milk, beans etc.
If you want to gain muscle mass you should aim for around 2g protein per 1 kg of bodyweight, that is around 3-4g per pound.

you're a fucking idiot. Whey is the cheapest source of protein you can get.

>What's up with whey? What's wrong with just normal (not the special blend stuff) protein powder?

whey is normal protein powder.

This is hopefully a troll post.

No competent health professional would ever recommend 3-4 grams of protein per pound of body weight. 1.25-2 g/lb is perfectly fine for any intermediate lifter.

Seems he divided the wrong way around. 2g/kg would be a bit less than 1g/lb

Bullshit. You just shit out what the body doesnt need.

That's for sedentary.

Athletics is anywhere between 1.6 to 1.8 g per kg of bodyweight.

whey is cheap as fuck you deluded retard, sotp posting

Skyr - 50g
2 x whey and milk - 100g

EASY

Thats nothing. Have more meat, 400g of meat is 100g of protein.

breakfast - oats with milk around 10g protein, maybe an egg is another 8g

breakfast shake - protein shake with 25g of protein mixed with instant oats that has about 5g

lunch has some meat in it another 20g

maybe some nuts for a snack or beans but i hate beans

dinner has meat so about 30g of protein from dinner meatand also should have lots of random other stuff like potatoes or pasta or veg that contains maybe 5-20g of protein

then a evening shake before or after the gym with oats is another 35g

and then supper, maybe some pancakes with a few g

meat, eggs, milk protein powder.
Eggs are cheap, so is milk, find cheap cuts of meat. Here the cheapest one is pork loin chops.
And protein powder is the cheapest source, grams per dollar of protein.

>2g per kg
>1 kg equals 2.2lb
>3-4g per lb
>being this retarded

>being this retarded

2g per kilogram is nearly 1g per pound. im 70kg and i weigh like 150lbs. if i take two grams per kilogram i should take 140grams which is pretty much the same as 1g per 1lb.

He said 2g per kg equals 3-4g per lb, which is the wrong way around. You got it correct though

Vid related.

4eggs with breakfast is like 28g
2 tuna steaks with dinner is another 50g
chicken breast with dinner is another 54g
The other stuff you build around these will make up your protein

>chicken/steak w/ rice pasta
>20g

either your portions are insanely small or you're drastically underestimating the amount of protein in those foods

Protein powder is usually the cheapest most convenient source of protein.

Other than that like user said, oats and milk, cheap meat cuts, bulk chicken breast, eggs and tuna, these should be the foods your diet revolves around.

In the long run it's better to supplement with whey, far easier and you don't have to be bulking to hit your protein macros.

whole milk

If you're natty: you don't need nearly as much as the protein-powder-jew wants you to think, but more than the FDA-gains-troll recommends.

I'm on a 1000kcal deficit and have no trouble getting in my protein. Just substitute whole with skim, no oats, tuna in water instead of oil, and tons of chicken breast.

> (arbitrary units)

What's your point?
In this context it makes prefect sense and doesn't invalidate the results in any way.

How long realistically can one GOMAD?

>chicken/steak with rice/pasta 20~g
so ouy eat what, 60g of chicken?

Thats like one bite, I just checked and I average about 300g of chicken a day, (on chicken days).

This.

This; one breast is about 200g, that's around 60g of protons.
>Add a glass of milk with some oat cookies, about 20g.
>4 eggs, 28g.
>a can of tuna, 25g.
That's enough for most natties 6'2'' and under.

How the fuck can you people physically eat more than 100g of meat at a time?

There's a thing called Google you simpleton

I can easily eat like 300-400 grams with 200 grams of rice for lunch as a 6'1'' 170 lbs skelly

The sticky is a great general introduction, and if you follow it your fitness will improve tremendously. The details of the sticky are, however, up for debate and adjusting some things will be helpful.

Are you kidding nigga?
I just finished 400g worth of chicken, with some homemade salsa, grated cheese, a couple slices of whole wheat bread and some buttermilk. 1200kcal, 160g of protons. Spread out over two meals that's like a plateful.

I eat 600g lamb over 2 meals. Lifting is the easy bit.

>How the fuck can you people physically eat more than 100g of meat at a time?
100g is literally two or three bites. Two sandwiches worth of sliced turkey. Even a skelly should be able to eat twice that.

>The fuck is a kilogram?
>This is an American Japanese image board.
The moon-people also use kilograms.

Kek, when out grilling, I can destroy up to 1.5kg of steaks over a couple hours (not doing that anymore nowadays though)

>either your portions are insanely small
I have a hard time eating a lot of food.
I usually get really sick after going out to eat with friends if I empty my plate.
I'm not a big eater.
Also thank you to everyone posting in this thread. I'l start adding whey shakes to my routine.

Every day I eat:

Three eggs
2 x 200gm portions of chicken
2 x 30gm scoop protein shakes.
200gms of a sauce containing mostly white beans to mix in my vegetables
Around a litre of milk

200+ gms protein. Easy.

It's actually more like 0.8g/lb of weight or 1g/lb of LBM.

But anyway it's easier than you think.

Breakfast
> two eggs and 4 breakfast sausages
> 1 pc toast with butter
> 1 cup coffee w/cream

AM Snack
> protein shake w/creatine
> 1 piece of fruit

Lunch
> 8 oz chicken
> 1 cup mashed sweet potato
> 1 cup braised kale

PM Snack
> jerky or sausage stick
> 1 oz of almonds
> 1 piece of fruit

Dinner
> 8 oz chicken
> 1 cup rice
> sauteed spinach
> 1 pint beer

Before Bed
> Protein Shake

ok bro my dinners are always chicken/steak with rice/pasta and I get around 70g protein from them.

2oz, or 200 calories, of whole grain pasta has around 7g protein in it. Half a breast, or 150 calories, has almost 30g. So for a 350 calorie dinner you'd be getting around 35g of protein. You're doing something fucking wrong and it's pissing me off. Also try eating some more for lunch you jackass.

Are you serious user? I can eat easily half rotisserie chicken with veggies and a large sweet potato. And I'm 5'5 120lbs. You are the weird one.

>how can people eat more than 4oz of meat at a time
>go to any restaurant in the fucking country, steaks are usually 8-14 oz

I seriously can not eat that much.
I feel sick if I try to force it.
