If it's after resting you didn't actually snap your shit up. That said, either one of those two exercises can be substituted for power cleans.

I find the explosive way of bringing the weight up in power cleans to be quite fascinating. I wish I had a coach, but I don't know where to find one in my town, the instructors in my gym only know how to operate the machines.

if you aren't an athlete power cleans are a total waste of time

unless you are an incredible power clean-er and an abysmal deadlifter expect no carryover to your deadlift

if you want to train RFP you could do this, or maybe jumping hex bar deadlifts if you have access to that type of equipment

You at least need someone who knows how to power clean for you first few weeks. You can use just the bar but you won't really learn how to do them properly, just make sure you are pushing your elbows pretty far forward so that you aren't using any forearms in actually supporting the weight
