is there a way to stop my legs getting bigger? i want to keep powerlifting but i give a fuck how i look (chicks etc) and the massive thighs i have aren't getting any smaller. in fact, they are growing way too fast, i'm chafing, have gone up 4 pant sizes and counting etc etc bloody etc. this needs to stop.

i've been maintaining my squat for 3 months to stop the growth and it has worked. obviously that's not ideal. these oly guys have legs that aren't like enormous, still big but not gargantuan like isley, yet some of them can out squat me by amost 100 kilos. i just want to know how.

Started Texas Method today. First pl program I've done. Been training for 14 months atm lifts are 285bp, 331 squat, 433dl 1rm I'm just wondering what types of accessories compliment TM.. I've read plenty of different types but just wondering what Veeky Forums had to recommend.

There are still millions of people still around from when lobotomies were in fashion.

It's a strength training program for sure, but it's not specifically design around powerlifting, you can tweak it of course like removing OHP and doing more bench instead, doing more sets at a lower rep range and so on.

But if you don't know wtf you're doing I'd rather just do a powerlifting program than trying to tweak another program, if that's your goal of course (competing)

If you don't plan on competing, just get as strong as you can and for that TM is a pretty good

Powerlifting is the competition where you do squats, bench pressses, and deadlifts.

Powerlifting training (a type of strength training but more focused on getting you strong at the three main lifts) often involves other lifts as accessories, like the OHP or even cleans.

TM is a strength training program in general, but can be customised to be powerlifting-specific by putting more emphasis on the big three.
