I've been doing weighted sit ups, but im pretty sure they are the cause of my lower back pain, because doing squats and DL occasionally while i let it heal havn't caused any trouble, but i have skipped my ab workout.
anything you can recommend that is weighted or am i forever doomed to the calisthenics club?

i like to do a weighted exercise(cable crunches or just a crunch machine) and then captains chair to failure for a couple sets.

Cable crunches are great. Dragon flag progressions are great. Hanging leg raises are awesome (work up to them with the faggy Roman chair ones if you must). Ab wheel is the GOAT for abs though, as dumb as it looks.
