How does one fix acne? I can't take accutane because of shitty genetics.

Hope that pic isn't you user. God bless pic related.

I use to have acne until I started losing weight and quit soda and junk food. I only drink water now and if I get acne on my face it because of a dirty face from sheets, pillow case or I was touching my face.

-Cut dairy from diet
-Dont use any products with sodium lauryl sulphate
-Drink a fuck load of water every day
-Change your pillow case and bedding regularly
-Get a prescription for a topical retinol or oral antibiotic
Good luck i've been fighting hormonal cystic acne for years now, main thing that has helped was taking dairy from my diet, very hard to gain now though :(

Do NOT pop/pick at them. This is the #1 thing that causes them to spread.

Not me in pic, fortunately. I do need to increase water intake (only 24 oz per day, currently)
Gonna have trouble cutting dairy but I'll do it. What products contain sodium lauryl sulphate? I have a prescription for veltin and aczone, I also literally just started taking tetracycline. I also take nicomide as a supplement. I get less pimples now, but cysts still appear. I'm hoping that the tetracycline helps with cysts.
I pop them once they're white, should I just not pop them at all or what?

Dairy is the biggest thing. I brought my milk drinking down to just one cup at breakfast and my acne almost totally cleared up in a week.

I'm not much of a milk drinker but I tend to eat a lot of cheese, I also eat butter often as well.

I know bread isn't dairy, but I've hear that it also causes acne.

Sodium Sulfecetacide and Sulfur. Go to a dermatologist, I highly recommend asking for this stuff. It's better than any OTC stuff, and it makes a big difference. I never had any as bad as you, but it still helped.

How old are you? I used to get some on my forehead but that went away after around 21. Still get some on the face, but it's not as bad as it used to be, and it's been clearing up lately. Are you using any steroids? Those are supposed to make acne worse, or show up for people who don't normally have it.

I don't think diet matters as much as people think, but eating unhealthy often causes you to have trouble sleeping. I think lack of sleep is a big reason for acne.

DO NOT pop them. I know it's hard not to, but that's why I said to get the prescription above. It'll stop them from causing so much pressure where you have to pop them for relief, and they'll go away much faster. Over the counter shit is garbage, and not worth the money. Often times it will just make acne worse because all it does is dry the shit out of your skin.

Some people swear by milk causing it, others say it has no difference. I've never noticed a change. Diet has never been confirmed to cause acne, so I think it's really more that people feel sluggish and "bad" when they eat shitty food, and that lack of sleep and nutrients just destroys their skin.

>do years of medication and treatment
>become vegan afterwards
>claim veganism cured your acne
>get youtube famous

One other thing I forgot to mention: stop masturbating. Especially stop looking at porn.

Porn is like a drug. It literally changes the male brain, and it can take months to fully recover from it. The dopamine releases are unnatural, this is why you'll keep looking at video after video and spend tons of time just looking at pictures.

Not to mention there's surely tons of hormonal stuff going on when you're constantly jerking off.

I know I didn't help at all by posting a sexy gif but..yeah, if you have to masturbate, do it to your imagination, don't let porn get involved. It'll happen faster and will feel better.

dont really drink that much milk but i eat a lot of greek yogurt. should i cut that out because it provides a good amount of protein for me?

Pic related is not me. My acne is not really bad since I started using veltin, aczone and nicomide (even though veltin dries the shit out of my face and after a week of use I need to take a three day break or so). I have red spots all over my face from acne in the past and five or six pimples come up every week. The real issue right now is cysts, which I started taking tetracycline for.

I'm eighteen years old, my forehead isn't nearly as bad as the rest of my face however I get small pimples there. Occasionally I will get smaller cysts up there but there not as bad as the ones near my mouth.

I also get little sleep, I have been reminding myself to fix my sleep schedule (usually six hours) and start going to sleep at a time that will allow me at least eight hours.

If I don't pop them, they look awful and everyone eyes them. Since you're saying it's no good, then I'll stop popping them to see what happens.

I tried NoFap, but the furthest I got was nine days, twice. My hormones always got the best of me. Porn is definitely an issue for me and I would agree that I need to cut it out. Porn hasn't ruined my brain (yet) because I am able to masturbate to my imagination without issue.

I'm curious about yogurt too, I also eat it for protein.

Change your pillow case often, every day even.

This was a huge one for me.

Also benzoil peroxide wash 1x or 2x a day. Drink water, get cardio.

Doxycycline is good if things are bad.

See your dermatologist asap. I held off longer than I should have and let my acne get worse than it should have been. As long as you do the stuff the dermatologist tells you to do, you'll be fine. And no, accutane isn't the only option. There are many, MANY different prescription gels/pills you can get

bump

hey clavicles r wider than mine

Cleaning your bedding has been huge for me. Just by washing my pillowcase and sheets once or twice a week my skin really does clear up. Think about it, when you sleep you usually sweat and get all sorts of oil and dead skin all over your sheets.

>I can't take accutane because of shitty genetics
???

you could try vitamin b5 at like 3-10g a day. Benzoyl peroxide 2.5 also

You fix it with isotretinoin.

If you are going to pop them do it the right way.

>Clean the area with hot water and 91% isopropyl. Iodine is better if you have that.

>This includes a large area around the zit.

>Using a STERRILIZED needle. Create a SMALL hole in the top of the pimple.

>Use a flat object, also clean, to slowly press on the skin toward the zit.

>Try not to put too much pressure on it or the debris and bacteria will be pushed under the skin creating problems later on.

> Clean the area with cold water to close up the pores.

>Put one of those small round band aids on the zit and treat it like an open wound.

This will prevent further acne and keep scars away.

Gel/facewash with Bensoylperoxide as active substance.

Prescription-free and sold at a pharmacy. Diet might help but not all the way

This senpai. I only had it for a year in high school, but my dad showed me this and it cleared right up.

Gonna try this out next time I pop one.

I don't have much but college has started to give me actual stress acne. Fuck life

I have suffered from moderate acne since I was 15. I was on tetracycline for many years and it helped while I was on it (I think it did more damage in the long run, however.)

There's a million things on the internet about acne and it's impossible to find out exactly what to do - I feel like I have tried every silly thing someone think worked for them.. twice. It's tedious and usually hard to stick to.

I am going to tell you what I do to have perfect skin. Perhaps it could work for you? Perhaps some of it would help? Take inspiration from it, if nothing else.

Also.. and this sucks, so bad.. but if you try some of it and it actually gets worse initially, you need to stick to it. This is such a hard part about acne, but well.. usually the initial outbreaks makes you give up.

Anyway.

Bad food: Diary, no soy, limit red meat.

I eat a lot of: broccoli, bell peppers, peas, and dark leafy salad. I eat often so my blood sugar levels are relatively stable.

Super foods: Press a lemon and drink the juice, once a day. Add fresh basil to your food, a lot of it. Drink green tea (I use matcha because it's easy.) Dark chocolate (86%).

Supplements: Probiotic-pill (antibiotics fucked my stomach.) Zinc. D-vitamin during the winter.

This is starting to be incoherent.. so I'll stop. I hope you find out what works for you!

God punished you fucking cracker honkey bastard
