4x8x115 bench press

At 6'0, 150. Been lifting for almost two months now, already up almost 10 pounds.

5x250lb bench
5x300lb squat
5x140lb ohp

height: 170cm(5'6?)/154lb bw
1,5-2years

cutting atm so all numbers are slowly going down

Just hit 225lbs bench and 365 lbs diddylift
Best feel ever leaving the pleb world.

2 years lifting seriously

>4x8
Why?

1rm 150 bench
5x 200 dead
5x 160 squat
5x 90 OHP

2 months

I come from a distance running background (D1 XC and track in college, 4:13 1500m, 15:40 5k, 32:17 10k) and know very little about lifting. I thought 4x8 is a good range for hypertrophy and I'm trying to gain mass as I drift away from competitive running and am trying to get a more well rounded body athletically.

5'5" 150 lbs
Banch: 245
Squat: 375
Dead: 425
OHP: 145

Liftin for 3 yrs, i'm a lil guy

Started September 2016.
Was 280lbs when I started. haven't missed a single day.
Currently 5'11 227lbs
315x6 diddly (hit today)
245x6 bench
245x6 squat
155x6 OHP

Squat has completely stalled since I'm only cutting. OHP is practically impossible now. Struggling to finish 1pl8 for my 3x6.

Just kill me now desu.

10 minute 2 mile run time.
You guys might be strong but try to catch me! :)

I deadlift the barbell

see

This post makes more sence to me than any of the lifting ones....

Forgot to mention that PR time for me is set while running in Boots and Utilities.
Haven't tried with just my track uniform on.

225 squat for 5x5, 6'0 ~165lbs

Not a lot but I'm really happy to put up 2 plates on it, 315 deadlift for 5 should come in the next two weeks or so

Still a skinny fuck but I'll make it eventually

I weigh more than you and am 5'6"....while still holding a 5 minute consistant mile time. You feed the machine man! More you put in (quality food, not junk), harder you work, better your results. Keep up the struggle of struggles that we all struggle on.

562 squat, 365 bench, 585 deadlift
5'9, 201lbs
since december of 2013

Hit three pl8 4 1 bench @ 177lbs 6'

I haven't wanted to kill myself for the whole day so far

Some people are naturally seeker untrained
It took me two years to get 225 for reps.
I started at 55kg to 82kg

5x100 kg dead
6'0, 70 kg
srs almost 1 year

tfw can't even lmao3pl

fuck ya m8. Youre definetly not a bitch.

You just jump on Texas method

Not sure on current 1RM except OHP Im doing a strength taper

Thanks man! That's really impressive. I'm working on it and slogging through lots of clean food every day and focusing on the heavy compound lifts. I'd like to attend a powerlifting meet someday when I'm strong enough to put up some good numbers.

bench 1rm-365
squat 1rm-don't know, probably around 435
dl 1rm-535
box squat 1rm-530

>Used to play college football
>lifting for 9 years
>knee injuries in both knees stopped lifting heavy for about a year

Very disappointed in myself.

2 years lifting
120 3x5 OHP
195 3x5 Bench
195 3x5 Row
235 3x5 Squat (I have no idea why its so low, I think its because I'm A2Ging? Or I just fucking suck)
355 1x5 Deadlift
+20 3x5 Chin Up

My diet is on point, I sleep great, taking creatine, blah blah blah, I just can't fucking improve as much as I see others here improve.

I'm 1,5 months to lifting, and already my bench and ohp are stalling. Wtf, does anyone have similar experiences?
>bench: 60kgx5
>ohp: 40kgx5
>squat: 80kgx5
>deadlift: 100kgx5

Squat and dl are progressing nicely. I'm cutting atm, 178cm and 85kg skinnyfat. I've always been weak from the upper body and strong from the low, my deadlifts are leg-dominant also I suppose. I can do 3 chin ups in a row, it was 1 when I started.

What do? Can anyone relate? Obviously I'll cut another 5 to 10 kilos and after that I can start eating moderately big again so that should help, but shouldn't noob gains be a bit more than mine in general?

Going for a new PR tomorrow boys. 295 bench. Hopefully in a couple months I'll hit that 3pl8 mark.

Squat plug depth, nice.

>195 bench
>195 row
What did he mean by this?

25 yo. Been lifting on and off for about 7 years. 90 kg/198 lbs. About 25% bodyfat. 175 cm/5'8
Max for reps:
4x65 kg/143 lbs OHP
3x110 kg/242 lbs bench
5x160 kg/352 lbs squat
I am embarrassed to tell people I lift. At last squat is decent outside of Veeky Forums. Haven't done deadlifting for a couple of years. It was too taxing. Wasn't recovering properly. Could probably do 190 kg 1rm at my best.

Bench 115Kgx15
Overhead Press 70Kgx12
Squat 232.5Kgx1
Deadlift 205Kgx9
Row 120x6

Weight 98Kg
2 years

Most of my gains came from not trying to max and just hitting PR sets of any way up to 20 none of this 1 rep max shit. It's better to build strength than to test it every session

what's the point of running when you can do double the miles on a bike?

Old PRs at 185 BW:
>squat 445
>DL 505
>Bench 305

I decided I didn't want to be fat anymore, so now BW 168
>Bench I don't bench anymore
>Squat just got 405 yesterday. Am happy
>DL 425 for 5. Haven't tried 1RM recently.

What's the point of testing yourself on a bike when in your heart of hearts you know a machine is doing most of the work?

Also, why is Veeky Forums obsessed with going as far as possible for cardio? A combination of intensity and distance is far more impressive to me than pure intensity or pure distance.

In comparison, it does not look like your lower body lifts are any stronger than your upper body lifts. Pretty normal lifts for a beginner. Hard to gain while cutting. Deadlifts and squats engage the central nervous system to a larger degree than ohp and bench. The central nervous system can become more effective with lifting. But you can't increase muscle mass while eating under maintenance.

Lifting 2.5 months at maintenance, starting to stall on gslp
75lb ohp
115 bp
185 squat
205 dl
100lb row

Is it time to bulk for? At like 20 percent bodyfat

4pl8 squat is good for anyone. Especially at that bw.

455 diddly

Is this good?

who are you quoting?

Similar-ish here.

2 months lifting at a calorie deficit on SL 179cm @ 88kg. My lifts are:
Bench 72.5kgx5
Ohp 55kgx5
Squat 90kgx5
Deadlift 125kgx5

Need to cut down to 75kg before ill be happy with my body but i dont think ill be making any noticeable gains but and im assuming strength gains will stall in time.

wtf is the context of this photo.

Bench:145lb
Squat:145lb
Deadlift:110lbs
OHP:115lb

6'1 at 215 lbs, on my fifth week of lifting, so far so good, OHP is the first lift i hit a failure.

have some imagination bro

I haven't had any PRs in like half a year. I haven't even reached 80 kg squats.

Wtf is up with your DL?

Been adding 5lbs each workout for DL, 10lbs for everthing else, was told id pass my squat overtime.

>D1
>4:30 mile
Are you a girl?

>6'3" 190 lbs
>415 deadlift for 10 reps
>335 squat for 10 reps

>175 OHP for 10 reps
>4 years lifting

>Recently broke out of forever-2pl8-bench-club and hit 110kg.

Nothing super impressive but I'm stoked. Just wish I could get my squat back up, was 132.5kg, gone down to 120kg because I guess I stopped squatting as much.

Natty? Let's see some footage

No way you made D1 with those splits.

I was never very quick at mid-D, was just providing a reference. I've done better post collegiately in the half and full marathon, and trail racing.

There's a wide distribution of talent at the D1 level. I was on a team that was regionally competitive and won conference one year, but we were insignificant on the national scene. Also helps that I was a scorer in XC even though I usually barely qualified for our conference meets for indoor and outdoor. I wouldn't have been competitive as a D3 runner though.

I'm not a super experienced lifter, but I'd imagine if you can ohp a certain weight you are probably ok using that for deadlift

Since August 2016:

275 Squat
187 Bench
375 Deadlift

All for reps
bw is 175

FRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP
GRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMPF

Set a PR this morning:

12 mile ruck march (35lbs ruck, rifle, FLC, no kevlar) in 2 hours 42 minutes. Shit was painful but I'm proud.

5'11"/208lbs
"lifting" for fun for about 5 years now

You actually still have to cut at 154 with those numbers?

floor pulled 165 5x5 the other. Total fucking bitch weight, but that's big improvement from when I started at 6' 135 lbs.

>4:40 mile time and 425 squat
>5'5" 175
>6 years (bro-splits and shitty diet for first 2 years, focus on Olympic lifting for last four)

I'm eating about 5500 calories a day to bulk, but I'm sitting at about 16% bodyfat. I'm gonna start cutting to get my bodyfat down and see how low I can get my mile time

Squat 355
Dead 365
Bench 225

Am 5'10 149lbs lifting seriously for about a year

3 mile: 19:35
HM: 1:48:00
1 mile swim: 33:00
10k row: 36:10 (~1:47/500m splits)
20k ruck (50 lb pack): 2:48:00
Pull-ups: 23 REAL ACTUAL DEAD HANG PULL-UPS

Not bad for 5'11" 195

Oh and I don't lift.

2 days ago PRs

>Squat 155kg
>Dead 125kg
>Bench 105kg
>Press 60kg

Set a new record on literally every big four lift, even if it was barely a rep on press. Felt great.

Going for volume records now to try and help my slow progress.

>5'8 82kg
>Lifting 1 year 2-3 months

Slowed down for a cut, feels good to be making progress again

Hit a solid 245 on my clean. Gonna go for 255 tomorrow.

Bench hit 295 this week but again I think I get higher so well see if I get the 300 club soon.

No other prs to report

5'10" 190+/-
Total of about a year lifting but with a massive work induced weightloss for 4 months that basically reset my progress halfway through.

this week
benched 195 for 5
pressed 135 for 3
squatted 250 for 5
diddled 330 for 2

Was able to mostly maintain my weight while eating casually for a full two months now.
Am going to go full into my diet.

Oh, I can almost do one arm chins at a bodyweight of 240+ so that's fairly good
Can also do half rep one arm pushups

SF?

You're fit. Those times are solid. Particularly row and 20km pack

>that deadlift

It's odd.

Recovering planetoid here. 6'1 and 210 with approx 23% bf. 1 month GSLP progress:

Bench 3x5 at 175
Press 3x5 at 125
Squat 3x5 at 155 (lame but it's ATG)
DL 3x5 at 245
BOR 3x5 at 145
Pullups: 0 (almost, mebbe in a month)

I'm increasing at double the recommended (5/10 increments (except squat at 5)) for now, because I can. I have a trainer looking at form. Squats suck because hip flexors, tight hamstrings, and the usual ankle mobility. I need to get it up :(

Where is this screen from?

>Squats suck because hip flexors, tight hamstrings, and the usual ankle mobility
>ATG
lol

Also you lifted before getting on GLSP right? Or something else active at least?

Atg with plates under my heels. I still have a hard time not falling forward.

I have not seriously lifted before. Last year I did about 3 months of leddit PPL spread out throughout the year. This time I'm serious.

>I still have a hard time not falling forward
so all your weight is on your toes got it. Guess what buddy knees to grass is not the same thing as ATG. Stop cheapening the term.

170cm (5.7), 77 kg (weighed 69kg at new years)
Started lifting properly at the beginning of January.
Did 2r 150kg DL about 1 month ago
367kg 1rm leg press

finally bulking and have consistently added 5kg a week to my lifts, hit a new deadlift pr today of 125kg x5

180kg bench
260kg squat
305kg deadlift

This was before when I was on gear, and before the pec tear. I'm at 140, 200, 230 now because I had to take time off training due to the tear as it was difficult to train anything with a pec tear, plus I came off gear.

> 179cm, 95kg (was 110kg), not at my leanest.
> 8 years

you're only 70kg at 6'0". your'e just not eating enough, force yourself to eat and you will notice the difference, trust me

5rm's are
>125kg dl
>80kg lb s
>60kg bp
>40kg ohp
4 months of free weights

Activate your glutes more, warm up with pause squats at half weight so you can stabilize your weight, 60% heels 40% front.

It'll put too much pressure and pain in your knees for you to lift any heavier at some point, very soon.

Come back and suck me later

You're welcome
