The style seems to vary from season to season.
It's super flashy, has nice psychedelic visuals. Artstyle might not be for you though.

It can be homoerotic from time to time but that won't bother you unless you are a closet homo.

yea it's really good, the first episode is kinda lame but it gets much better, especially after episode 8.

to be honest, it's the proportions of the face.
with the sole exception of Vampire Hunter D, i cannot stand that style of drawing faces, eyes, eyebrows, chins, it drives me nuts i'm not sure why.
but being aware that much more goes into animation, it could vary well be up my alley, too many animes i've passed up from not liking the manga style or from pictures i've seen, only to watch it in animation and be truly surprised. also homoeroticism is absolutely wonderful, no homo.

I couldn't stand the design the last season. Varia Suit shoulders were really offputting visually.
